The City of Kenai Public Works - Purchasing and Contracting Department provides support and services to the various City entities. The department's objectives are to obtain materials, equipment, and/or services in a timely, cost-effective manner, and at the best value to the City. We provide all City departments and service areas with clear guidance on purchasing policies and procedures, and ensure that appropriations are used wisely and in the best interests of the City while preserving the integrity and fairness of the competitive process.

The City of Kenai hereby invites qualified firms to submit proposals to provide an information technology disaster response plan to the City. The effective date of this contract shall be from the date of agreement execution to a date that must be mutually agreed upon by the successful proposer and the City of Kenai. Proposers should contact the Public Works Department at (907) 283-8236 to be placed on the plan holder’s list to receive addenda. Attendance at the Pre-Proposal meeting is not mandatory but is recommended. RFP documents can be obtained on the City of Kenai website at www.kenai.city or at City Hall for a non-refundable fee of $25.00.

Pre-Bid Meeting: February 23, 2026, 11 am at the Water Treatment Plant located at: 420 Shotgun Dr., Kenai, AK 99611 Scope of Work: The City of Kenai is seeking bids for the construction of a new pump house, installation of piping, including underground piping and water main connections, installation and programming of equipment, installation of a backup generator, and all associated work at the City of Kenai Water Treatment Facility. Bidders must visit BidExpress.com to be added to the plan holder list and to receive addenda(s). Attendance at the Pre-Bid meetings is not mandatory but is recommended. Questions may be submitted via BidExpress.com. This contract will be subject to the provisions of the State of Alaska Title 36, Wage and Hour Administration Pamphlet Statutes and Regulations, and will require 100% performance and payment bonds.
