The Kenai Peninsula Borough hereby invites qualified firms to submit proposals for acceptance by the Borough to provide professional design services for the Central Peninsula Landfill Baler Building. This redesign will address: new office space, meeting room, bathrooms, front desk public area and designated operational waste/recycling areas. This project includes the following scope, but is not limited to: Site visits, existing condition review, incorporation of Borough approved recommendations, 100% design doc, construction admin, close out and warranty services.

The Kenai Peninsula Borough hereby invites qualified firms to submit a firm price for acceptance by the Borough for all materials and labor necessary for a complete demolition and removal of the Central Peninsula Landfill baler system, heat exchanger, and associated ductwork. Work will include but is not limited to: draining oil tanks, removing all associated components of the baler system, removing all associated components of the heat exchanger system, and disposing of all demolished materials. After baler demolition, backfill the site and pour concrete slab to slope correctly with existing pad. A pre-bid conference will be held at the Central Peninsula Landfill Baler Building, 46915 Sterling Hwy, Soldotna, AK 99669 on October 23, 2025, at 2:00 PM. Attendance at the pre-bid is not mandatory but is strongly recommended. This contract is subject to the provision of State of Alaska, Title 36, Minimum Wage Rates. The subsequent contract will require certificates of insurance and may require performance and payment bonds.

The Kenai Peninsula Borough hereby invites qualified firms to submit a firm price for acceptance by the Borough to purchase an estimated 1,024,500 pounds of Anhydrous Calcium Chloride, 94-97% mini pellets, industrial grade and must be in no less than 2,000-pound bags and no more than 2,700-pound bags. Bags must have a bottom discharge chute for easy release of the product. The mini pellets must meet the classification of Anhydrous Calcium Chloride Type S, Grade 3, Class B, according to the ASTM D-98 and AASHTO M 144 requirement of calcium chloride purity.
