Q26-21 Humphrey Park Basketball Court Lighting & Electrical Service Improvements
The City of Sidney is seeking bids from qualified electrical contractors to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, engineering, permits, inspections, coordination, and incidental items necessary to remove the existing basketball court lighting system and construct a complete new lighting and electrical service installation at Humphrey Park, 600 Buckeye Avenue, Sidney, Ohio.
The Contractor shall provide a separate alternate bid price to furnish all labor and materials for the installation of one (1) 100-watt LED cobra head style night light on one of the newly installed basketball poles.
The project shall be completed on a turnkey basis and shall result in a fully operational lighting system ready for use by the City.
A pre-bid meeting is NOT scheduled. Site visits may be coordinated by contacting Jim Heuing, Parks Dept. Facilities Maintenance Supervisor at 937-498-8155.
The project will require the use of State of Ohio prevailing wage rates for Building Construction ONLY if the bid exceeds the threshold amount of $75,000.

The project is for an approximately 3,900 s.f. one-story, metal building of type IIB construction, group S-1 occupancy. The project involves all site work including asphalt driveways, concrete walks, and lawn seeding; building materials which include but are not limited to concrete foundations and slab, pre-manufactured metal building, hydraulic door, overhead doors, hollow metal doors in hollow metal frames; HVAC units and system; and electrical fixtures and system.
A Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held onsite at the Sidney City Airport, 14833 Sidney-Plattsville Road, Sidney, Ohio at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 21, 2026. A walk-through of the site will be offered during the pre-bid meeting.
