The overall mission of the San Joaquin County Department of Public Works is to plan, design, construct, operate and maintain the County infrastructure, which includes public roads, transportation systems, bridges, water, wastewater, channel maintenance and solid waste disposal systems of the County, in order to best serve the interests of the people. These systems are maintained to protect the health and welfare of the public and the County’s financial investments. Public Works also provides vehicle support for the County, including procurement support, heavy and light vehicle maintenance and repair, and daily rental services.

The San Joaquin County Department of Public Works (SJCDPW) requests Statement of Qualifications from qualified and innovative Consultants to provide consulting engineering services for the full engineering design services for the Statewide Flood Emergency Response Grant Round 3 (Project). SJCDPW-RFQ-21-1
The San Joaquin County Department of Public Works (SJCDPW) requests statements of qualifications from engineering consulting firms to provide on call design engineering support services for miscellaneous projects in San Joaquin County. SJCDPW will establish a list of three (3) to five (5) consultant firms to provide services on an “On-Call” basis. The intent is to obtain, through a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) method of procurement, multiple consultant service Purchase Agreements for design engineering support services for an amount not-to-exceed $100,000 per fiscal year. The On-Call List will be utilized by SJCDPW for a two-year period with the option of SJCDPW to extend the On-Call List for an additional year. The work, in general, consists of constructing a new three-leg, single-lane roundabout at the intersection of Byron Road and West Grant Line Road. Job Order Contracts JOC-019, JOC-020 and JOC-021
A Job Order Contract is an indefinite quantity contract pursuant to which the Contractor may perform an ongoing series of individual Projects at different locations throughout San Joaquin County. The bid documents include a Construction Task Catalog® containing construction tasks with preset Unit Prices. All Unit Prices are based on local labor, material and equipment prices and are for the direct cost of construction. The Contractor will bid two Adjustment Factors to be applied to the Unit Prices. One Adjustment Factor for performing work during Normal Working Hours and a second Adjustment Factor for performing work during Other Than Normal Working Hours. The same two Adjustment Factors shall apply to every Pre-priced Task in the Construction Task Catalog®.
