The base bid project consists of the abatement and demolition of six (6) complexes, construction of a new road between Fred Taylor Drive and Olentangy River Road complete with installation of the entire storm water infrastructure as shown on the project plans and documents. The project is located in the heart of the Athletic Campus, near the Woody Hayes Athletic Center and the varsity Tennis Center. The project shall intend to service the necessary traffic and storm infrastructure required for future development and renovation of existing buildings in the area. The storm infrastructure is vital to the project and shall be installed in its entirety including areas shown in phase I and phase II. Phase II work includes abatement and demolition of six (3) complexes and completion of the construction of the new road in Phase I.

The complete scope of Work for Bid Package No. 1 shall include the erection, operation, and subsequent dismantling and removal or the Man/Material Hoist System and associated roof scaffolding system. The work of this Bid Package includes the removal of existing curtainwall as required to provide adequate passage of man-power and materials into the building; building a weather and air tight, fully insulated enclosure to protect the opening created by the removal of the curtainwall system; storage of the removed curtainwall sections and glazing; followed by reinstallation of the curtainwall system and removal of the weathertight enclosure at the completion of the Bid Package 2 Work.
