Interior renovation to create a CT imaging suite, including imaging equipment and associated mechanical equipment, casework, finishes and accessories. Medical Center will continue to operate during construction. Contractor will follow all Medical Center ICRA and ILSM requirements.

Replacement of existing galvanized steel cold water piping. Installation of new piping prior to demolition of active mains. Removal of all obsolete piping. Replacement of aging valves in the hot and cold-water system. Select under slab sanitary work to fix known issues. Replacement of flooring in areas of under slab work. Select above ceiling sanitary work to fix known issues/leaks. Abatement of select valves and flooring mastic. All work required for installation in an active and occupied veterinary hospital facility.

This project will repave the parking lot and main drive along with other improvements.

Work includes hazardous materials abatement and removal of abandoned piping, equipment, and ductwork. Work also includes installation/replacement of domestic hot water recirculation pumping system, limited electrical modifications, insulation work, and miscellaneous architectural modifications.

Repurpose and renovation of the existing Martin Luther King Library on Long Street into a “Healthy Community Center” including demonstration kitchen, rentable community space, and leasable café.
