The estimated project Base Bid cost is: $870,000 The work is to be accomplished within 180 calendar days of a notice to proceed. Liquidated damages in the amount of $2,000 per day will be assessed if the work has not been completed in accordance with the provisions of the contract within the time specified (as extended by any authorized extension of time granted in accordance with the contract provisions). The proposed contract includes a combined requirement of 10.4% of the bid price for minority-owned business enterprises and women-owned business enterprises. The structure is surrounded by water on all sides. Access to the Tower is via moveable walkways not designed for heavy loads. Delivery of supplies may require cranes or other special handling techniques. The tower is about 70 feet tall from deck level to roof and the only current access to the upper floor is a narrow spiral staircase.
