2022 Street Maintenance Program (Part A), and the Groveport Municipal Golf Course Cart Path Replacement Project, (Part B)
The City of Groveport will receive bids for the 2022 Street Maintenance Program (Part A), and the Groveport Municipal Golf Course Cart Path Replacement Project (Part B), until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 12, 2022. The work for which proposals are invited consists of the following two Parts that may or may not be combined to a single contract for both parts, or set up as individual contracts for each part: Part A - 2022 Street Maintenance Program Base Bid Part A Contract: Mill and overlay of various alleys and streets requiring the placement of approximately 480 c.y. of asphalt pavement, crack sealing, pavement markings, approximately 2,270 s.f. of concrete and brick sidewalk replacement, approximately 70 s.y. of pavement repairs along with other miscellaneous work. Add Alternate Bid #1–Contract A Cron Drive: Mill and overlay requiring the placement of approximately 20 c.y. of asphalt pavement Part B - Groveport Municipal Golf Course Cart Path Replacement Project Base Bid Part B Contract: Removal and replacement of the majority of the asphalt cart path network on the City’s municipal golf course. The work will require approximately 4,200 c.y. of excavation of existing path material, placement of approximately 2,800 c.y. of aggregate base, and approximately 1,320 c.y. of asphalt material along with all necessary restoration. Contractors may submit bids for both the Part A and Part B work, or may choose to submit a bid on only one of the two parts. If a bid is submitted for Part A, in order to be considered, Contractors shall submit bids on the Base bid and the Add Alternate for the Part A contract. The bids will be evaluated and the Contract(s) will, if let, be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, as determined at the sole discretion of the City of Groveport. Bidders are advised, the City in evaluating bids, may choose to award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder for each Part separately, or to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder who provides bids for both parts. Moreover, Bidders are advised that for the Part A bid, the City may or may not include the Add Alternate bid. A pre-bid conference for the Part B work, will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at 1:00 pm, local time, at the patio next to the golf course clubhouse, located at 1005 Richardson Road, Groveport, Ohio. Attendance is not mandatory, but is recommended. A pre-bid conference is not being held for the Part A work. Engineer’s Estimate: Part A – 2022 Street Maintenance Program Base Bid: The estimated cost of construction for the work outlined in the plans and specifications for the Part A Base Bid is $412,000.00 Add-Alternate (Part A Contract): The estimated cost of construction for the Add-Alternate $12,000.00 Part B – City of Groveport Municipal Golf Course Cart Path Replacement Project Base Bid: The estimated cost of construction for the work outlined in the plans and specifications for the Part B Base Bid is $1,021,300.00

2022 Alley Drainage Improvement Project: Hickory Alley Storm Sewer
The City of Groveport will receive sealed bids for the 2022 Alley Drainage Improvement Project: Hickory Alley Storm Sewer, until 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 11, 2022. The City of Groveport will not accept bids after that time. The work for which proposals are invited consists of the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment and services necessary for construction of various improvements associated with the 2022 Alley Drainage Improvement Project on Hickory and Brook Alleys (the “Project”). Work to include approximately: Removal of existing pavements and drainage structures and pipe along the alley-ways, and placement of approximately 1,060 lineal. ft. of storm sewer pipe, ranging from 4-inch diameter underdrain, to 15-in., 18-in., up to 48-in. diameter, placement of about 13 storm structures, mill and reconstruction of alley pavements requiring the placement of approximately 25 c.y. of asphalt pavement, and 330 s.y. of concrete pavement along with other miscellaneous work. The estimated cost of construction for the work outlined in the plans and specifications is $400,000.00.

The City of Groveport will not accept bids after that time. The work for which proposals are invited consists of the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment and services necessary for construction of various improvements associated with the 2021 Alley Drainage Improvement Project on Hickory and Brook Alleys (the “Project”). Work to include approximately: Removal of existing pavements and drainage structures and pipe along the alley-ways, and placement of approximately 1,050 lineal. ft. of storm sewer pipe, ranging from 4-inch diameter underdrain, to 15-in., 18-in., up to 48-in. diameter, placement of about 13 storm structures, mill and reconstruction of alley pavements requiring the placement of approximately 25 c.y. of asphalt pavement, and 330 s.y. of concrete pavement along with other miscellaneous work. The estimated cost of construction for the work outlined in the plans and specifications is $379,715.00.

West Bixby Road Improvement - Phase 2
The City of Groveport will receive sealed bids for the West Bixby Road Improvement - Phase 2 Project until 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 30, 2021. Base Bid: Part 1 - Bixby Road pavement rehabilitation and Path Improvement – Work to be included in the base bid as ordered by the Council of the City of Groveport: • 9,700 square yards of roadway pavement rehabilitation utilizing full depth pavement reclamation and applying 3.5 inches of item 441 asphalt concrete, being about 930 Cubic Yards • 3,100 feet of an 8-ft wide asphalt paved shared-use path • Misc. roadside drainage improvements including drive culverts and underdrains • Pedestrian warning system assembly • Various pavement striping and signage Part 2 - Bixby Road culvert replacement over Holton Ditch (FRA-CR229-03.45) - Work to be included in the base bid as ordered by the Franklin County Commissioners: Improvements to be included, as ordered by the Franklin County Commissioners, consist of upgrading 0.01 miles of Bixby Road by replacing the existing concrete slab culvert over Holton County Ditch with a new 12’x8’ 4-sided precast concrete box culvert, with foundation support system and headwalls and minimal roadway approach improvements that support the roadway improvement to be constructed in Part 1. Add/Deduct Alternate: Unit prices are requested from the bidder for alternative work for specific pay items in the base bid, as an Add/Deduct Alternate. Work relates to the type of stabilizing agent used in Full Depth Reclamation.

The work will include approximately: Base Bid: Mill and overlay of various alleys and streets requiring the placement of approximately 290 c.y. of asphalt pavement, crack sealing, pavement markings, approximately 1,620 s.f. of concrete and brick sidewalk replacement, approximately 440 s.y. of pavement repairs along with other miscellaneous work. The estimated cost of construction for the work outlined in the plans and specifications in the Base Bid is $361,000.00. Add Alternate No. 1: Work to include an additional 2,750 s.y. of asphalt overlay and edge milling on Church Street along with 85 s.y. of concrete alley approaches. The estimated cost of construction for Add Alternate No. 1 is $78,000.00.
