The Skagit Regional Health system includes two acute care hospitals, 137-bed Skagit Valley Hospital in Mount Vernon and 48-bed Cascade Valley Hospital in Arlington, and nearly 30 outpatient clinics serving patients in Skagit, Island and north Snohomish counties.

Skagit Valley Hospital features a full range of services including comprehensive cancer care; surgical services; a Level III Emergency Department; a well-appointed Family Birth Center; comprehensive diagnostics; and advanced heart and vascular care.

Cascade Valley Hospital features an award-winning wound care center; free-standing surgery center; a level IV Emergency Department; a well-appointed Family Birth Center; and a wide array of diagnostic imaging services.

Project Name: MVSC - OR#5 Renovation Project Location: 211 S 13th Street, Mount Vernon, WA Project Description: The proposed project is a tenant improvement for an existing three-story medical surgery center. The project involves the conversion of the existing pain procedure room (375 sf) into a fifth operating room (375 sf) within the existing operating suite. Work of this project includes removal of non-structural interiors partitions, GWB ceiling, finishes, and casework. Addition of medical gas piping and connections, installation of SLD air frame and visible light decontamination system, and ceiling mounted boom and lights are also included. Occupancy and general function of space for purposes of calculating the number of occupants are not changed. Other work proposed includes, but is not limited to, revision of the existing sprinkler and fire alarm system (deferred).

Cascade Valley Hospital: Facility Improvements 330 S Stillaguamish Ave Arlington, WA 98223 Project Description: HVAC Upgrades This project consists of upgrades to the existing campus mechanical infrastructure involving improvement to the campus central cooling systems and upgrades to building 1 central air handling systems. Improvements to the campus chilled water system includes new central air-cooled chillers, a new chiller dedicated to the cooling requirements of the surgery department, higher capacity central chilled water pumps/infrastructure, and expansion of the campus system to replace direct refrigerant based systems for improved campus wide flexibility. This project also includes upgrades to the air handling systems serving building 1 providing them with increased capacity and system flexibility to deliver environmental air. ALTERNATE NO. 1: Consists of retrofitting the existing air distribution systems serving building 1 with new terminal units which will provide the hospital the ability to monitor, control and manage system airflows. ALTERNATE NO. 2: Consists of the professional cleaning of the interior of the existing air distribution system in building 1, in conjunction with the scope of work previously described.
