Structure Replacements & Preservation Bridge A: No. 16-0043 Landrus Road OVER UNT to Babb Creek Bridge B: No. 16-0044 Landrus Road over Bear RUN Bridge C: No. 16-0045 Landrus Road over Silver Run Forest District 16, Tioga State Forest Bloss Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania This project is the replacement two corrugated metal pipe culverts and a preservation of a corrugated metal pipe culvert along Landrus Road. Bridge A replacement will consist of a corrugated galvanized steel pipe arch culvert with flared concrete end sections. Bridge B replacement will consist of an integral abutment bridge with a composite prestressed concrete spread box beam superstructure. Bridge C preservation will consist of paving the invert/flowline of the pipe to eliminate further pipe invert deterioration and loss of bearing material beneath the pipe invert and placement of riprap for scour protection. John Evans House Stabilization, White Clay Creek Preserve London Britain Township Chester County, Pennsylvania Structural stabilization of historic stone and brick masonry house ruin within the White Clay Creek Preserve. This project involves work which must be performed by contractors and trades having particular skill and sensitivity for handling historic building materials with care and attention to preservation and quality of details. Culvert Replacement Yellow Creek State Park Cherryhill Township Indiana County, Pennsylvania Work included under this contract consists of the excavation and removal of the existing corrugated metal culvert and concrete endwalls (wingwalls and apron to remain), replace with a new 96" CMP pipe, cast-in-place new endwalls around the new pipe with ClassAA concrete, construct the rock outlet protection, backfill pipe and restore gravel road. Water Treatment Facility - Forest District Office Forest District 9, Moshannon State Forest Pine Township, Clearfield County, Pennsylvania This project includes the construction of a water treatment system and connection to a new groundwater source, to provide drinking water to the Moshannon State Forest District Office. This will require the installation of a submersible well pump, drop piping, pitless adaptor, sanitary seal well cap, and necessary appurtenances required to convey groundwater from the existing well source. Raw water distribution piping will be installed to connect the groundwater source to the District Office. A water treatment system will be constructed to provide disinfection, oxidation, greensand plus filtration, water storage, and pressurization. A backwash disposal system will be constructed to properly remove all regenerated water from the treatment process. Well Replacement Jennings Environmental Education Center, Brady Township, Butler County, Pennsylvania Work included under this contract consists of the complete design, permitting and construction of a potable water system located at the Jennings Environmental Education Center. This project proposes to install a new groundwater well source, meeting the requirements of PADEP Bureau of Safe Drinking Water and Pennsylvania Chapter 109. The existing water system is designated as a Transient Noncommunity Water system. The project includes the installation of one (1) potable water groundwater well, development and construction of the well, and design and construction of all appurtenances such as the submersible pump system, drop piping, pitless adapter, and sanitary seal well cap. The project will require potable water system connections to the Jennings Environmental Education Center and Maintenance Building using open trench and horizontal directional drilling methods. The water system shall include all necessary treatment, as required by PADEP. The project will also include proper abandonment of the existing groundwater well.
