The project consists of roadway reconstruction on County Highway E (CTH E) beginning at USH 45 and extending east approximately 2.8 miles to the intersection of the second Blong Road in the Towns of Land O’ Lakes and Phelps. Project limits include work through the CTH E /Blong Road intersection, extending beyond the existing intersection radius to ensure proper alignment and pavement transitions. Work under this contract includes, but is not limited to: Pulverizing the existing asphalt roadway surface. Shaping and grading the pulverized material to the required cross-section. Placement of 3 inches of hot-mix asphalt (HMA) in two lifts, meeting applicable WisDOT specifications. Construction of a finished roadway with: Eleven-foot driving lanes Three-foot paved shoulders Three-foot gravel shoulders Intersection work, including all necessary grading, shaping, and paving to properly tie into the existing roadway. All materials, workmanship, traffic control, mobilization, and restoration shall comply with current WisDOT Standard Specifications for Highway and Structure Construction, the project special provisions, and the bid documents.
