Contract 9726 - Country Grove Singletrack Trail

The work includes furnishing all labor, materials, equipment and tools for general construction of a new Country Grove Park Shelter located at 7353 East Pass, Madison, WI, including but is not limited to, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, site and utility work including connections from the new building to water and sewer lines. Additional site work includes a new parking lot, paths, bio-retention basins and new sport courts.

The work includes replacing defective sidewalk, curb and gutter, and sidewalk ramps, including truncated domes (supplied by the City of Madison), and associated work.

The work includes, but is not limited to, removal and replacement of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, removal and construction of some exterior walls, removal and replacement of slabs on grade, and interior renovations to create 4 individual use restrooms, a warming room, and a utility room within the existing enclosed area of the park shelter.

The work includes asphalt base patching, patch by grind (mill/overlay) citywide, and infrared patching. Contractor may be required to replace temporary patches with permanent HMA patches. On streets that have a pavement rating greater than 6 and on collector and arterial streets patches shall then have the limit extended by mill and overlay per the established patching criteria.

The Contractor shall perform repair work primarily throughout the 19th Aldermanic District. A list of approved repair locations and an area map of Aldermanic District 19 has been provided within these Special Provisions for reference. The list, however, is not a final list. Additional locations may be added. Horizontal sawcut/grind locations have been marked in the field with a pink line and a white “C”. The Contractor shall horizontally sawcut/grind sidewalk to eliminate trip hazards at those locations designated by the Common Council, and as directed by the Engineer.
