The proposed work includes the installation of new fiber optic infrastructure, including approximately 17,816 lineal feet of 1.5-inch underground HDPE fiber conduit via horizontal directional drilling, 14,156 lineal feet of 2 x 1.5-inch underground HDPE fiber conduit (2 parallel conduit runs pulled together) via horizontal directional drilling, 9,460 lineal feet of new aerial fiber, approximately 53,471 lineal feet of fiber optic cable (various strand count), installation of underground fiber vaults and handholes and the subsequent installation of fiber optic cable and appurtenances, and testing in the City of Hudson, Ohio. SR 303 Transmission Line Replacement and W. Case Drive Waterline Replacement
The proposed work consists of 2 projects. The projects could be awarded to two (2) separate contractors or awarded as one (1) project to a single contractor, depending upon price. Contract 1 is the SR 303 Transmission Line Replacement and includes the installation of approximately 6,540 LF of new 16” watermain and its appurtenances along W. Streetsboro (SR 303) between the City of Hudson Water Plan and Boston Mills Road. The project also includes grout filling of the existing 16” asbestos cement pipe, 8” and 12” watermain side street connections, new house services, storm improvements, pavement striping and restoration in the City of Hudson, Ohio. Contract 2 is the West Case Drive Waterline Replacement and includes the installation of approximately 1,765 LF of new 8” watermain and its appurtenances along W. Case Drive between SR 303 and Lynn Drive. The project also includes new house services, cutting and capping of the old watermain and restoration in the City of Hudson Ohio.

The proposed work consists of the construction of approximately 2.38 miles of five (5) foot class C concrete sidewalk, storm improvements, ADA curb ramps, lighting upgrades, intersection improvements and signing along E. Streetsboro Street (SR 303) between N. Hayden Parkway and Stone Road and Stow Road between E. Streetsboro Street and the entrance to Hudson Springs Park. The project plans are separated into two plan sets, but are considered one contract. The project also includes driveway improvements, curb installation, necessary grading and restoration, water quality improvements and pavement repairs in the City of Hudson, Ohio, Ohio. Bidders are strongly encouraged to visit the site and understand the limits of the project and existing conditions.
