Lake Forest Sidewalk and Road Realignment and Boston Mills Road Multi-Use Path
The proposed work on Lake Forest Drive includes the installation of approximately 1,800 LF of new five (5) foot wide Class C sidewalk, storm improvements, curbing, pedestrian improvements, driveway improvements, grading and restoration between Boston Mills Road and Essex Circle. The project also includes the realignment of Lake Forest Drive for approximately 230 feet. The proposed work on Boston Mills Road consists of the construction of approximately 3,600 feet of new 10’ wide multi-use path, including the installation of two timber boardwalks and a bridge over Lake Forest, an 8’ stone path through the Park will also be installed. Some of the existing multi-use paths along Boston Mills Road will also be used and upgraded between 115 Executive Parkway and Lake Forest Drive in the City of Hudson, Ohio.

Fiber Construction Material Procurement
The purchase will involve fiber and related material (e.g., conduit, fiber, fiber closures, splicing material, demarks, ground closures, aerial attachment equipment, etc.) for use in the construction of the fiber to the home network pilot project in accordance with the specifications which are on file in the office of the Assistant IT Director. Procured materials are to be stored by Supplier until requested for delivery to the Fiber to the Home Pilot Program project site(s).

Fiber to the Home Pilot Program
The proposed work includes the installation of new fiber optic infrastructure, including approximately 11,750 lineal feet of 1.5-inch underground HDPE fiber conduit via horizontal directional drilling, 7,900 lineal feet of new aerial fiber, the placement of underground fiber vaults and handholes, and the subsequent fiber optic cable installation and testing. The project is divided into two parts: Part One is underground fiber installation within the Oak Point Commons Subdivision which includes Westpoint Drive and Ridgewood Blvd off of Boston Mills Road. Part Two includes overhead and underground fiber installation along Hines Hill Road to the Woods of Westbrooke Subdivision off of Walters Road in the City of Hudson, Ohio.

Multi-Purpose Path along Barlow Road
This project involves the installation of a new 3,500 foot long, multi-purpose trail from the City’s Barlow Farm Park, along Barlow Road to Summit County’s Wood Hollow Metropark. The trail will feature varying widths of asphalt and concrete, and the project scope also includes curb installation, storm/drainage improvements, grading, pavement striping and Norfolk Southern Railroad crossing enhancements and coordination.
