McDowell Road Improvements
The City of Grove City, through the City Administrator, will receive sealed bids for the McDowell Road Improvements project via Bid Express until 11:00 a.m. local time on June 12, 2026, and at that time and place will be publicly opened and read aloud. Grove City will neither open nor accept bids received after that time. Subject to the right of Grove City to reject any or all bids, Grove City will award contracts to the bidder(s) submitting the lowest and best bid(s). The work for which Grove City is inviting bids consists of the following: Base Bid • Includes approximately 10,000 square yards of asphalt roadway pavement resurfacing, over 5,200 linear feet of continuous curb, approximately 60 linear feet of 12-inch to 18-inch storm sewer pipe, over 8,400 square feet of asphalt shared-use path, over 13,700 square feet of concrete sidewalk, traffic signal improvements, street lighting, landscaping, and other related work. Additional Bid 1 • Includes approximately 20,300 square feet of asphalt shared-use path replacement, over 1,600 square feet of concrete sidewalk, over 530 square yards of concrete drive approach replacement, and other related work. Additional Bid 2 • Includes approximately 2,800 square yards of asphalt roadway pavement resurfacing, over 350 linear feet of spot curb replacement, and other related work. Additional Bid 3 • Includes approximately 32,700 square feet of asphalt shared-use path overlay, and other related work. The estimated costs of construction for the work outlined in the plans and specifications for the various bids are: Base Bid: $3,270,000 Additional Bid 1: $747,000 Additional Bid 2: $174,000 Additional Bid 3: $97,000 Schedule: The work shall commence within sixty (60) calendar days after the City issues the Notice to Proceed for the Contract. The work associated with Roadway, shared-use path, storm sewer and water main work shall be completed within one hundred fifty (150) calendar days from the City’s issuance of the Notice to Proceed for the Contract. The work associated with street lighting improvements and final site restoration shall be completed within three hundred thirty 330 days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed for the Contract.
