Scenic View Water System Rehabilitation Laurel Hill State Park Middlecreek Township Somerset County, Pennsylvania Work included under this contract consists of the complete design, permitting and construction of a potable water system located at the Laurel Hill State Park Penn Scenic View. This project proposes to install a new groundwater well source, meeting the requirements of PADEP Bureau of Safe Drinking Water and Pennsylvania Chapter 109. The project includes the installation of one (1) potable water groundwater well, development and construction of the well, and design and construction of all appurtenances such as the submersible pump system, drop piping, pitless adapter, and sanitary seal well cap. The project will require six (6) potable water system connections using open trench and horizontal directional drilling methods. The water system shall include all necessary treatment, as required by PADEP. The project will include the assembly of a water storage tank and associated telemetry. The project will also include proper abandonment of the existing six (6) groundwater wells, associated water pipes and valves, (4) sewer manholes, and sewer pipe. Area Rehab - Perry Monument Restoration Presque Isle State Park Millcreek Township Erie County, Pennsylvania Work included under this contract consists of the removal and replacement of the seawall cap, cleaning and restoration of the Perry Monument Plaza and stabilization, cleaning, and restoration of the monument. The existing seawall cap will be removed and replaced. The restoration of the plaza includes removal and replacement of deteriorate concrete sidewalk, concrete crack repair, the removal of the knee wall and moat surrounding the monument, installation of concrete bollards with chains connecting the bollards, and lighting upgrades. The stabilization and restoration of the monument includes polymer soil injections, spall repair, removal and replacement of stone, partial stone replacement, repoint mortar joints, replace brick behind stone, and apply waterproofing and anti-graffiti coating to monument. Sproul State Forest Structure Replacements Bridge A: Bridge 10-0062 Pfoutz Valley Road over Hensel Fork Bridge B: Bridge 10-0085 Stony Run Road over UNT to Stony Run Bridge C: Bridge 10-0087 Stony Run Road over Stony Run Bridge D: Bridge 10-0060 Boone Road over Sandy Run Forest District 10, Sproul State Forest Leidy Township, Clinton County, Pennsylvania This project will replace an existing concrete slab bridge structure on Pfoutz Valley Road. The replacement structure is a precast reinforced concrete rigid frame. This project will also replace a corrugated metal structure carrying Stony Run Road over Unnamed Tributary (UNT) to Stony Run. Replacement structure is a precast concrete box culvert. Other work includes rock lining, architectural surface, DSA approach roadway, and guide rail. This project will replace a reinforced concrete pipe with a 73’ long, 87” x 63” (10 Gage) Coated (Polymer) Corrugated Galvanized Steel (CCGSP) Arch Culvert with Flared Galvanized Steel End Sections. Replacement includes DSA approach roadway and rock scour protection. This project will replace an existing reinforced concrete rigid frame on Boone Road. The existing structure is in poor condition. Bridge Abutment and Beam Seat Rehabilitation, Bridge No. 6409-0500, Scenic Drive Over Hickory Run, Hickory Run State Park Kidder Township, Carbon County, Pennsylvania Scenic Drive over Hickory Run is a one span prestressed concrete box beam bridge. The existing stone masonry substructure will be repointed, and missing/loose stones will be replaced in the stone masonry pier, abutments and wingwalls.
