SAND STORAGE BUILDING DESIGN/BUILD. The City of Soldotna hereby invites qualified firms to provide proposals for design and construction of a pre-engineered fabric structure for sand storage. The City is seeking a fabric structure with galvanized steel framework that is approximately 85’ wide by 100’ long and mounted on a concrete stem wall to store 4,500 cubic yards of sand. The building should be designed to withstand local snow and wind loads and meet all applicable building codes. A pre-proposal conference will be held at City Hall, 177 North Birch Street, Soldotna AK on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at 10:00 A.M. with a site visit to follow. Attendance is not mandatory but is strongly recommended.

WWTP DEWATERING IMPROVEMENTS. The City of Soldotna hereby invites qualified firms to submit a firm price for acceptance by the City for the Wastewater Treatment Plant Dewatering Improvements SOLB 25-15. The project generally consists of the following: 1. Modify existing digested sludge mechanical dewatering system for temporary use during the execution of this Contract. 2. Construct new dewatering building to house new process equipment to the south of the existing Control Building. 3. Receive and assume custody of two (2) OWNER procured Centrifuges and appurtenances. 4. Install Owner-procured centrifuges in new dewatering building. Provide support services for Centrifuge functional testing and startup commissioning services. 5. Furnish, install, functional test, and provide startup services, complete and functional with interconnection piping and valves, and electrical and control systems, as shown on the Drawings and as described herein, for the following: a. Centrifuge appurtenances b. Pumping Systems (Sludge Pumps, Polymer Pumps) c. Polymer Mix Tank/Day Tank and Appurtenances d. Polymer Blending and Feed Equipment and Appurtenances e. Piping, Valves, Supports, and Appurtenances f. Process Control and Instrumentation 6. Yard piping improvements 7. Civil site grading, drainage, paving improvement.

SOLDOTNA SHOP ROOF REPLACEMENT DESIGN. The City of Soldotna hereby invites qualified firms to provide proposals for professional design services for the Soldotna Shop Roof Replacement project. The scope of work will include professional architectural and engineering services to prepare a comprehensive design for a roof replacement on the City of Soldotna maintenance shop located at 884 Funny River Road. This work will include onsite investigation of existing conditions, review of previous building condition reports, hazardous material investigation, design of replacement roof, and preparation of construction plans and specifications for bidding purposes.

POLICE BUILDING EXTERIOR REPAIR. The City of Soldotna hereby invites qualified firms to submit a firm price for acceptance by the City for the Police Building Exterior Repair SOLB 25-11. The Soldotna Police Department building was constructed in 1995 and is in need of maintenance and repairs to the exterior of the building. The project consists of cleaning dirt and debris from the exterior, treating for mold and mildew, repairing small localized damaged EIFS, painting, and caulking. Work must be continuous after mobilization and shall be complete by July 31, 2025. A non-mandatory bid walk will be held at the Police Building, 44510 Sterling Highway, Soldotna, AK on May 23, 2025 at 10:00 am. Attendance at the pre-bid is not required but highly recommended.

POLICE BUILDING EXTERIOR REPAIR. The City of Soldotna hereby invites qualified firms to submit a firm price for acceptance by the City for the Police Building Exterior Repair SOLB 25-04. The project consists of the following: 1. Clean dirt and debris from all exterior surfaces of building. 2. Treat all stucco surfaces with a disinfectant mold and mildew treatment. 3. Repair any small localized damaged stucco. 4. Paint all exterior stucco, doors, metal trim, air grilles, and roof cap with a minimum one coat. Paint to be applied by spraying followed by back rolling. Garage door panels are not to be painted. 5. Caulk all exterior seams with color matched acrylic latex caulk. Contractor is responsible for all site safety control including protecting existing landscaping. Contractor responsible for all clean up and waste disposal. Contractor must coordinate work schedule with designated City project manager. All paint colors to be approved by City project manager before starting application. Paint to be Sherwin Williams Emerald Exterior Acrylic or approved equal. Caulking to be exterior rated DAP Dynaflex 230 or approved equal. Mold and mildew treatment to be a commercially available product applied according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Work must be continuous after mobilization and shall be complete by June 30, 2025.
