The Virginia Department of Transportation is seeking expressions of interest from consulting engineering firms who wish to be considered to provide construction engineering and inspection services for project-specific agreement on the Route 501 Bridge and Candlers Mountain Interchange Improvements Project (UPC 119384). This project will be administered by the VDOT Lynchburg District Construction office. The project-specific agreement will consist of providing construction engineering and inspection (CEI) services to supplement VDOT staff during the final plans and construction phases of the project. This is a design-bid-build project administered by the VDOT Lynchburg District Construction Office. Pursuant to Section 2.2-4343.1 of the Code of Virginia, as amended, VDOT does not discriminate against faith-based organizations.

These contracts will have an initial term of one year with a maximum term value of $10,000,000.00. In addition, the Department may renew the contract for three additional terms of one year each with a value of $10,000,000.00 per term. This project will be administered by the VDOT Lynchburg District Construction office. The project-specific agreement will consist of providing construction engineering and inspection (CEI) services to supplement VDOT staff during the construction phase of the project. The project involves reconfiguring existing Route 311, Berry Hill Road, as an extension of the programmed Berry Hill Connector Road by widening approximately 2.3 miles of the existing road from a two-lane undivided to a four-lane divided road. The improvements would extend from the intersection of the new Connector Road (currently under construction) south to Oak Hill Road.
