The overall mission of the San Joaquin County Department of Public Works is to plan, design, construct, operate and maintain the County infrastructure, which includes public roads, transportation systems, bridges, water, wastewater, channel maintenance and solid waste disposal systems of the County, in order to best serve the interests of the people. These systems are maintained to protect the health and welfare of the public and the County’s financial investments. Public Works also provides vehicle support for the County, including procurement support, heavy and light vehicle maintenance and repair, and daily rental services.

The San Joaquin County Department of Public Works (SJCDPW) requests technical proposals from qualified consulting firms to undertake, perform, and complete the tasks set forth in Request for Proposals – SJCDPW-25-03. The selected consulting firm (CONSULTANT) will perform professional and technical engineering services for the August Sustainable Community Plan (PLAN). The PLAN will focus on sustainable transportation improvements within the existing community related to local and regional multimodal transportation plans and connections. The PLAN will identify sustainable improvements that support accessible health, nutrition, education and human services, housing assistance, and employment opportunities within the August Community. The PLAN will focus on facilitating movement of people and goods between job centers and the community through alternative modes of transportation. The requested services will include extensive outreach, proposing complete street designs, evaluating circulation and making recommendations, and identifying investment strategies for construction of future improvements. SJCDPW-RFQ-25-03
The San Joaquin County Department of Public Works (SJCDPW) requests statements of qualifications from engineering consulting firms to provide transportation engineering support services. The work will be assigned on an as-needed basis and will consist of a range of services, including but not limited to: preparing a scope of work for an assigned project, collecting and analyzing traffic data, preparing draft and final Traffic Impact Studies, and participating in meetings with County staff associated with various development and improvement projects. SJCDPW will select an On-Call List of two (2) to three (3) qualified consulting firms to provide these services, and a purchase order will be issued to each selected firm (CONSULTANT) as work is assigned. The On-Call List will remain in effect for two years with an option to extend for two (2) periods of one year each. The PLAN will focus on establishing the ultimate configuration of Airport Way between the City of Stockton limits at French Camp Road and the City of Manteca limits south at Roth Road that is necessary to serve future travel demands in south San Joaquin County. Alternatives considered by the PLAN will continue to facilitate industrial operations, including truck traffic, on and near the corridor and evaluate bicycle facilities for continuity with adjacent City planning. The requested services will include public outreach, existing conditions analysis, and proposing transportation alternatives.. The San Joaquin County Department of Public Works (SJCDPW) requests statements of qualifications from engineering consulting firms to provide on call design engineering support services for miscellaneous projects in San Joaquin County (County). SJCDPW will establish a list of three (3) to five (5) consultant firms to provide services on an “On-Call” basis. The intent is to obtain, through a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) method of procurement, multiple consultant service Purchase Agreements for on-call design engineering support services for an amount not-to-exceed $200,000 per fiscal year.
