Uhlman, Jr. Bandstand) The project consists of demolishing the existing terrazzo roof and asphaltic waterproofing membrane down to the bare structural concrete sub-roof, and complete removal of the limestone roof edging. Replacement with a new zinc-coated copper radiused flat seam roof over wood sleepers and new waterproofing membrane, cast concrete cornice stones with Kryton waterproofing admixture, and repointing of the brick rooftop lantern, with various repairs to the lantern’s limestone cap and base stones. Removal and replacement of bandstand ceiling and lighting, with a period-correct faux coffered ceiling, and LED lighting. Replacement of the Lantern’s Faux oculus panels with storm proof louvers. Adding Life safety exit and emergency lighting in the unoccupied basement storage area for code compliance. The Project Estimate $429,111 The work is to be accomplished within 90 calendar days of a notice to proceed. Liquidated damages in the amount of $ 2,000 . per day will be assessed if the work has not been completed in accordance with the provisions of the contract within the time specified (as extended by any authorized extension of time granted in accordance with the contract provisions). The proposed contract includes a combined requirement of 10.4% of the bid price for minority-owned business enterprises and women-owned business enterprises.
