Bradley Palmer Spray Deck Construction 40 Asbury Street, Topsfield, MA 01983 Project consists of all improvements associated with the modernization of the DCR Bradley Palmer Wading Pool. The purpose of this work is to convert the existing wading pool portion of the facility to a spray deck with new features and piping. Scope of work further includes all associated electrical, mechanical, structural and civil improvements. The estimated project cost is $ 950,000.00 The work is to be accomplished within 180 calendar days of a notice to proceed. Liquidated damages in the amount of $1,000.00 per day will be assessed if the work has not been completed in accordance with the provisions of the contract within the time specified (as extended by any authorized extension of time granted in accordance with the contract provisions). Bidders must be pre-qualified by the Massachusetts Dept. of Transportation (MassDOT) Highway Division in Recreational Facilities to bid on the above project. An award will not be made to a Contractor who is not pre-qualified by MassDOT prior to the opening of Proposals. The structure is surrounded by water on all sides. Access to the Tower is via moveable walkways not designed for heavy loads. Delivery of supplies may require cranes or other special handling techniques. The tower is about 70 feet tall from deck level to roof and the only current access to the upper floor is a narrow spiral staircase.
