NOTICE TO BIDDERS:
The City of Springfield, Ohio, will receive electronic bids for the construction of the N. Thompson Ave. Fire Station #5 until 10:00 a.m., local time, on October 16, 2024.
Bid Submission Details: All bids must be submitted electronically through Bid Express at https://www.bidexpress.com/businesses/21770/home. Free registration with Bid Express is required to review and print all City of Springfield projects. To submit a bid, a digital ID must be obtained through Bid Express, which may take up to seven (7) days to process.

Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting: A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on October 2, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. in the Gothard Room located on the 2nd floor of City Hall, 76 E. High St., Springfield, OH 45502.

All work and each bid submitted must comply strictly with the bid specifications.
Said work shall be subjected to the prevailing rate of wages as established by the Ohio Department of Commerce.
This project is being partially funded by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). All applicable federal rules and regulations associated with ARPA funding will apply to this project.
Bidders must be licensed contractors with the City of Springfield, Ohio before the contract is awarded. Additionally, bidders are required to submit an AIA A305 Contractor’s Qualification Statement with their bids and must demonstrate successful experience in constructing fire stations within the last 15 years.
The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any defect in a bid that does not materially alter the contract documents.

Project Description: Reconstruct asphalt roadway from W. Grand Avenue to W. Pleasant Street. Construction includes drainage improvements, new curb and gutter, concrete walk, ADA curb ramp improvements and retaining walls.
