General: Southwest Corridor Park Headquarters Boston, MA This project consists of considerable building envelope upgrades including the replacement or repair of underlying structure noted in the project set. The envelope upgrades of this 10,805 SF building consist of a new roof assembly and exterior continuous insulation with a thermally modified wood rainscreen assembly. New windows, doors, and insulated overhead doors included in the envelope upgrades. Interior modifications segregating active shop space from office space. There are also several upgrades to the building mechanical and electrical systems including a roof mounted photovoltaic array. Additionally, an accessible parking area and entry are included in site work. The estimated project: $4,688,544.00 The work is to be accomplished within 550 calendar days of a notice to proceed. Liquidated damages in the amount of $2,000.00 per day will be assessed if the work has not been completed in accordance with the provisions of the contract within the time specified (as extended by any authorized extension of time granted in accordance with the contract provisions). The proposed contract includes a combined requirement of 10.4% of the bid price for minority-owned business enterprises and women-owned business enterprises.
