HAARP Generator Maintenance Term Contract The University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF) is seeking Proposals from contractors qualified and interested in providing annual maintenance, inspection, and repair of power generators at the University of Alaska Fairbanks Troth Yeddha’ Campus High-Frequency Active Auroral Research Program (HAARP) facility located at MP Mile 11.3 of the Tok Cutoff, Gakona, Alaska. Contracts will be awarded to create a pool of up to three (3) service term contractors to perform services related to general maintenance, inspection, and repair of multiple diesel engine generators. The work shall be of a reoccurring nature with delivery, schedules, and quantities indefinite. Total annual contract amounts shall not exceed $300,000, with each individual service not exceeding $100,000 and no guarantee of a contract minimum. Initial term will be from date of award through December 31, 2024, with four (4) one-year options to renew through December 31, 2028.

The scope of work for this project is to construct a 5500 gross square feet (gsf) addition to the University of Alaska Museum of the North (UAMN) to house a 60-70 seat planetarium with a 10-meter dome. The addition will be located to the west of the current museum building, with connectivity to the existing space. Design elements and aesthetics on the exterior will be complimentary with the existing architecture while interior spaces will be designed to modern standards for a state-of-the-art planetarium.
