Macomb County Comprehensive Transportation Safety Action Plan (CTSAP) – Traffic Engineering Services
The Macomb County Department of Roads (MCDR) is soliciting Proposals from consultants to develop the Macomb County Comprehensive Safety Action Plan (CTSAP). Proposals will be scored using a qualification-based selection process.
This project will be under the direction of the MCDR Project Manager. Only consultants currently listed as prequalified to perform Design - Traffic: Safety Studies services for the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will be considered.
MCDR received a Safe Streets and Roads For All (SS4A) grant from the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA).

Garfield Road - 23 Mile Road to 25 Mile Road
23 Mile Road to 24 Mile Road: Construct approximately 0.5 mile of new HMA road between 23 Mile and 24 Mile Roads with approximately 925' of existing Garfield Road reconstruction. Mill and overlay existing HMA Garfield Road. Construct a box culvert at the Eckert Drain crossing.
24 Mile Road to 25 Mile Road: Construct approximately 0.7 mile of new HMA road between 24 Mile and 25 Mile Roads with approximately 250' of existing Garfield Road reconstruction. Mill and overlay existing HMA Garfield Road to south of 25 Mile Road and approximately 350' of 24 Mile Road.
Install new traffic signals at Garfield Road and 23 Mile Road and 24 Mile Road intersections.
Project includes station grading, aggregate base, aggregate shoulders, subgrade undercutting, drainage improvements, HMA pavement, concrete curb and gutter, drainage improvements, traffic signal and pedestrian items and associated work.

Intersection reconstruction at Van Dyke Avenue and Campground Road including the construction of a roundabout and approaches.
