DB Green Line B Branch Short Term Accessibility Improvements, Boston, MA The purpose of the DB Green Line B Branch Short Term Accessibility Improvements Project is to upgrade inaccessible station platforms to meet accessibility standards for nine (9) station locations along Commonwealth Avenue in the City of Boston on the B-Branch. The project will also realign the tracks at Blandford Portal to enhance safety and operations. Barriers to accessibility at multiple grade crossings will be addressed, ensuring safer and more convenient use for passengers.  

Y90PS01 – Design and Engineering Services for Systemwide Pump Room Upgrades Design and Engineering Services for the MBTAs Engineering and Capital Division. Design and implementation of improvements to various pump rooms. General improvements may include civil, structural, electrical, architectural improvements; replacement of dysfunctional pumps; door replacement; SCADA installation; communications; environmental; and stakeholder engagement.

CMAR Symphony Station Improvements Project - TRADE RFQ Re-advertisement of Trade Request for Qualifications for the following Trades: Miscellaneous and Ornamental Iron Tile Acoustical Tile Resilient Floors Painting Elevators Fire Protection Sprinkler Systems On May 7, 2025 the MBTA issue a Trade RFQ for the CMAR Symphony Station Improvements Project, in responses to the RFQ, the MBTA received fewer than three (3) SOQs for the trade categories listed above. The MBTA is re-inviting firms to submit SOQs for the trade categories listed above. Trade Contractors who previously submitted SOQs in response to the RFQ issued on May 7, 2025 do not need to resubmit their SOQ, the MBTA will retain the previous SOQ submission. The project scope includes renovations to MBTA’s Symphony Station including, but not limited to: installation of four (4) elevators; raising the existing platforms for level boarding; renovation and expansion of inbound and outbound lobbies; two (2) public toilet rooms; new egress stairs and headhouses; renovation of existing stairs and expansion of the mezzanine; upgrade of life safety systems; lighting; finishes; wayfinding; foundation improvements, including support of excavation requirements and underpinning; site and landscaping improvements; site amenities and protective bollards, renovated plazas for inbound station entrances; raised bike lanes, replaced sidewalks and roadway along Massachusetts Avenue; significant electrical and communication upgrades including but not limited to replacement of DC duct banks along platforms, electrical backup service from Prudential, including new substation and emergency mineral insulated (MI) cabling, and transformer vault.
