The Project includes the proposed 8th floor dispatch center at 200 Newport Ave is designed for the following: seven (7) Rapid Transit Line (RTL) dispatcher workstations; five (5) Light Rail dispatcher workstations; eight (8) bus dispatcher workstations; one (1) designated dispatcher training console for Red, Orange, Blue, Green and Bus for a total of five (5) instructor dispatcher training consoles; three (3) OCC supervisor workstations; an area with four (4) power department dispatchers; a desk each for Transit Police, Fire Department, RTL Vehicle Maintenance, Light Rail Vehicle Maintenance, two (2) desks for the Operations Information Officer (OIO) and one (1) desk for the OIO Supervisor. The opposite side of the 8th floor would have five (5) Security Operations Center (SOC) controller workstations, and a room with four (4) Maintenance Control Center (MCC) personnel workstations, several manager’s offices, and a large conference room to support an Emergency Operation Center (EOC).

P92PS01 - South Boston Power Complex Study
The scope of services includes feasibility planning and concept development services for the South Boston Power Complex (SBPC) site, including renewals for the following SBPC assets: 115kV transmission lines; 15kV switching station equipment and facility; high voltage yard components; and 68 MW kerosene-fueled turbine-powered generator (two jet engines). This planning effort will also evaluate the feasibility of alternative scenarios at the site, such as battery storage and upgraded generation systems. Project tasks may include site data collection, concept development, conceptual site plan development, and alternatives evaluation.

On May 7, 2025 the MBTA issue a Trade RFQ for the CMAR Symphony Station Improvements Project, in responses to the RFQ, the MBTA received fewer than three (3) SOQs for the trade categories listed above.
The MBTA is re-inviting firms to submit SOQs for the trade categories listed above. Trade Contractors who previously submitted SOQs in response to the RFQ issued on May 7, 2025 do not need to resubmit their SOQ, the MBTA will retain the previous SOQ submission.
The project scope includes renovations to MBTA’s Symphony Station including, but not limited to: installation of four (4) elevators; raising the existing platforms for level boarding; renovation and expansion of inbound and outbound lobbies; two (2) public toilet rooms; new egress stairs and headhouses; renovation of existing stairs and expansion of the mezzanine; upgrade of life safety systems; lighting; finishes; wayfinding; foundation improvements, including support of excavation requirements and underpinning; site and landscaping improvements; site amenities and protective bollards, renovated plazas for inbound station entrances; raised bike lanes, replaced sidewalks and roadway along Massachusetts Avenue; significant electrical and communication upgrades including but not limited to replacement of DC duct banks along platforms, electrical backup service from Prudential, including new substation and emergency mineral insulated (MI) cabling, and transformer vault.
