Damon Pond Dam Repairs and Area Improvements Willard Brook State Forest, Ashby, Ma The project consists of work to bring Damon Pond Dam into compliance with the Massachusetts Dam Safety Regulations (302 CMR 10.00) and making state park site improvements. Proposed work includes concrete and masonry repairs to the dam, spillway, and training walls, removal of unsuitable vegetation on and within 20 feet of the dam, site drainage improvements, overtopping protection to the dam embankment and structural repairs to the bridge deck and railings. The project also includes construction of recreational features including two ADA- compliant parking spaces and an ADA/MAAB-compliant stabilized aggregate path from Hosmer Road to the boundary of the southern beach. The estimated project cost is $2,130,971.00 The work is to be accomplished within 365 calendar days of a notice to proceed.
