            Downtown Streetscape - North Market

1.1  Scope:  The City of Columbus, Department of Public Service is receiving bids until June 20, 2025, at 1:00 PM local time, for construction services for the Downtown Streetscape - North Market project.  Bids are to be submitted only at www.bidexpress.com.  Hard copies shall not be accepted.

This project will reconstruct two roadways and resurface one other roadway to support the development of the North Market Tower. Spruce Street and Wall Street will be reconstructed as paver roadways and sidewalks. Vine Street will be resurfaced. The improvements will also include curbs, paver and concrete sidewalks, street trees, and street lighting. The curb and sidewalk on the east side of Park Street will be replaced and curb extensions added adjacent to the existing North Market building and other such work as may be necessary to complete the contract, as set forth in this Invitation For Bid (IFB). 

All questions concerning this project are to be sent to capitalprojects@columbus.gov. The last day to submit questions will be specified in the IFB; phone calls will not be accepted. Responses will be posted on Bid Express at www.bidexpress.com as an addendum.

A pre-bid meeting will not be held.

            Bridge Rehabilitation - Front Street and Nationwide Boulevard over Railroad Tunnel

1.1  Scope:  The City of Columbus, Department of Public Service is receiving bids until June 26, 2025, at 1:00 PM local time, for construction services for the Bridge Rehabilitation – Front Street and Nationwide Boulevard over Railroad Tunnel project. This project involves the rehabilitation of the Front Street and Nationwide Boulevard bridges over the railroad tunnel downtown. The Front Street bridge is approximately 200 feet south of Nationwide Boulevard and the Nationwide Boulevard bridge is approximately 200 feet east of Front Street. The project involves a major superstructure replacement for the bridge on Front Street which will include conversion of the bridge abutments to semi-integral, deck replacement, and approach slab replacements. Work for the bridge on Nationwide Boulevard includes expansion seal replacements and sidewalk resurfacing, and other such work as may be necessary to complete the contract, as set forth in this Invitation For Bid (IFB).

            Streetscape Improvements Spring Street Neil Avenue to John H. McConnell Boulevard

The City of Columbus, Department of Public Service is receiving bids on behalf of Nationwide Realty Investors until April 11, 2017, at 1:00 P.M. local time, for construction services for the Streetscape Improvements - Spring Street (Neil Avenue to John H. The work for this project consists of replacing the existing brick walk on the east side of Neil Avenue and installing a new 10' wide brick shared use path on Spring Street.  The project also includes:  milling and resurfacing, street trees, street lighting, traffic signal, drainage structures, irrigation, abandonment of water service, and a retaining wall along the shared use path on Spring Street.  The pavement markings will be replaced on Spring Street from Neil Avenue to Marconi Boulevard.  Also, other such work as may be necessary to complete the contract, in accordance with the plans 3293 Drawer E and specifications set forth in this Invitation for Bid (IFB).

SIGNAL INSTALLATION - COLUMBUS TRAFFIC SIGNAL SYSTEM PHASE D, PID 82573, C.I.P. No. 540007-100006.

Hard copy proposals will not be accepted by the City.
 
The work for which proposals are invited consists of: installing messenger wire, conduit, pullboxes, fiber optic cable, Ethernet switches, traffic flow monitors, communication cabinets, and wireless radios to migrate the Columbus traffic signal system from older systems to a new one.  The limits of the project are primarily central to northern half of Franklin County with 110 miles of fiber optic cable to be installed to connect approximately 265 traffic signals.  Some of the major corridors include High Street, Fifth Avenue, Olentangy River Road, Stelzer Road, Karl Road, and Indianola Avenue. Also, other such work as may be necessary to complete the contract, in accordance with the plans 3150 Drawer E and specifications set forth in this Invitation For Bid (IFB).
