The project consists of the installation of new standby power system which includes a natural gas-fueled generator and new automatic transfer switch (ATS), electrical system modifications for ATS and new variable frequency drive, vertical turbine pump, motor replacement, piping modification and construction of elevated concrete generator pad as indicated in the Drawings and Technical Specifications.
An voluntary alternate is included to possibly abandon/remove existing underground storage tank (UST) system and associated piping/conduit as indicated in the Drawings and Technical Specifications.
A NON-MANDATORY pre-bid meeting is scheduled for Monday, May 4, 2026 at 10:00 am located at the WTP, 880 E. Court Street, Sidney, Ohio.
State of Ohio Prevailing Wage Rates for Building Construction apply.

26-13 Great Miami River - Sidney Ohio Water Intake Dam Modification
The project includes the construction of a rock riffle downstream of a low-head dam and stabilization of the existing dam. The project is in the Great Miami River, along Custenborder Park in City of Sidney, Shelby County, Ohio.
A pre-bid meeting will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 onsite at 455 Canal Street, Sidney, Ohio. This meeting is not mandatory, but attendance is strongly recommended. Subcontractors, small, minority or women owned enterprises, and other interested parties are invited to attend.
Attention of Bidders is called to all of the requirements contained in the electronic Bid documents, particularly to the Federal Requirements, Federal Labor Standards Provisions and Davis-Bacon Wages, various insurance requirements, various equal opportunity provisions, and requirement for a payment bond and performance bond for 100% of the Contract price.
Participation goals for DBE, SBE, MBE, or EDGE have not been established for this project; however, DBEs, SBEs, MBEs, and EDGE Bidders are encouraged to review the project and consider submitting a Bid. All qualified Bidders will receive consideration without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, ancestry, age, sex, sexual orientation, handicap or disability.
Current Federal regulation (23 CFR 635.410) requires all Bidders for Federal or Federal-Aid contracts to submit Bids based upon using only domestic steel and iron products only.
