Work consists of locate and demarcate spot repair areas, to relocate existing armor stones as needed to provide suitable base for new armor stones and to supply new armor stone and place on designated spot repair areas to specified elevations. This project includes pavement rehabilitation or pavement removals on multiple taxiways at Milwaukee County’s General Mitchell International Airport (MKE). Included in this contract is substantial grading, construction of underdrains, asphalt, landscaping, pavement marking, and airfield electrical changes. Project Completion: If the Base Bid and all five (5) alternatives are awarded, the contractor shall have a total of 153 consecutive calendar days to substantially complete the project, excluding punchlist. If any or all additive alternatives are not awarded, the total contract time shall be as follows: Base Bid Only = 30 Calendar Days Base Bid + Alternative 1 = 42 Calendar Days Base Bid + Alternative 1 + Alternative 2 = 84 Calendar Days Base Bid + Alternative 1 + Alternative 2 + Alternative 3 = 135 Calendar Days Base Bid + Alternative 1 + Alternative 2 + Alternative 3 + Alternative 4 = 153 Calendar Days No additional calendar days will be awarded to the contract if additive alternate 5 is awarded. Work of the Project includes Interior remodel of service area in Room 615 and will create a security barrier that separates the public access point from the DA staff in the northeast quadrant of the Safety Building.
