Work consists of dredging sediment from the Bender Park boat launch and relocating it within the designated area of Bender Park as indicated in the project bid documents. Additional work consists of dewatering, erosion control, grading, planting, and plant maintenance.
A similar project was bid, though not awarded. This project differs from that one in that there are alternatives for less dredged volume and a longer timeframe to complete the work. Additionally, there are no residency or TBE requirements.

9420-20580 - Little Menomonee River Parkway Habitat Restoration: Sections 4 and 5
Habitat restoration within the Little Menomonee River Parkway including reforestation, invasive species removal, grassland restoration and management, forest stand improvement, wetland restoration and sedge meadow restoration.
Project is funded by a Great Lakes Restoration Initiative Grant sub-granted through the Department of Natural Resources to Milwaukee County Parks.

Contract 1: Shared-Use Path Construction
Work consists of reconstructing and relocating two segments of Milwaukee County’s Oak Leaf Trail located within the Little Menomonee Parkway, specifically on the west side of N 91st St between W. Good Hope Rd and W. Bradley Rd. Project work includes earthwork grading, removing asphalt, providing new asphalt surface, clearing and grubbing, and native seeding.
Project Completion:
Interim Completion of Asphalt Paving Work by November 19, 2021 or June 24th, 2022 pending weather, construction timing, and contractor option. Final Turf Restoration and Project Substantial Completion July 15th, 2022.
Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) participation goal for this project is 15%.

Contract 1: Trail Construction
Work of the Project consists of removing existing asphalt surface and providing new asphalt surface, culvert pipe and trail signs as indicated in the project Bid documents.
Project Completion: Work of the project shall be Substantially Complete as follows:
Construction of the project shall begin on or after 10/11/2021 and shall be substantially completed by 11/19/2021. Final turf restoration shall be completed by 6/3/2022.
Prime contractor shall perform at least 30 percent of the original contract amount with contractor’s own organization per section 108.1.2 of the current edition of the WisDOT standard specifications for highway and structure construction. See Project Manual Invitation to Bid.
Contractor shall complete the Affidavit of Non-Collusion that is part of the Bid Form confirming that the bidder has not engaged in any collusion related to the bidding of the project.
Bids are to be completed online in Bid Express
no later than 2 P.M., September 15, 2021.
Milwaukee County project bid summary results will be posted on the Bid Express site and Milwaukee County web site at www.county.milwaukee.gov. Bid summary results may be available a few days following the Bid Due Date time.
