Kearney Park Improvements The work to be done consists, in general, of improvements to Kearney Park, located at 6725 W. Kearney Blvd. in Fresno, CA, including the installation of a new County-furnished prefabricated restroom and connecting it to utilities, demolishing two septic tanks at existing restrooms and connecting those restrooms to an existing City of Fresno sewer trunk, removing the old playground and installing three new County-furnished playground structures, installing a County-furnished premanufactured steel shelter, constructing a multi-purpose court (tennis, basketball and pickleball courts), reconstructing a parking lot, installing additional lighting throughout the park, and other miscellaneous work such as clearing and grubbing, grading, parking lot striping, installation of speed bumps and wheel stops. Additive items include fog sealing some of the existing parking lots and the replacement/repair of existing decorative rock walls throughout the park.

Houghton Canal Bridge Replacement at N. Chateau Fresno Avenue The work to be done consists, in general, of widening and reconstructing the approach road, realigning and reconstructing canal access roads, relocating irrigation lines, and replacing the structurally deficient two-lane bridge with a standard two-lane bridge. The Houghton Canal Bridge on Chateau Fresno Avenue (Bridge No. 42C0486/42C0695, 04-030) is located 0.5 miles south of Belmont Avenue in Fresno, CA and has been closed since 2023. The new bridge structure will consist of Cast-In-Place, Pre-Stressed concrete slabs which will be supported by a Cast-In-Drill-Hole concrete pile foundation. The DBE Contract Goal is 21 percent. Jensen Avenue Improvements West Avenue to Fig Avenue (MLK Boulevard) The work to be done consists, in general, of reconstructing approximately 1.5 miles of Jensen Avenue from West Avenue to Fig Avenue (also known as MLK Blvd). The road will be reconstructed using a Full-Depth Reclamation with Cement method. The road work includes construction of new curb ramps, adjusting sewer manholes, signage and striping, and other miscellaneous items. A new ductile iron water pipeline will also be installed, replacing an existing asbestos water pipeline to be abandoned in place. Coordination with City of Fresno Public Utilities Department will be necessary to arrange the tie-in to existing system. The pipe replacement also involves installation of new water meters, fire hydrants, valves, and other appurtenant work. Some Fresno Metropolitan Flood Control District (FMFCD) master storm drain facilities shall also be installed as part of the work. The DBE Contract Goal is 17% percent. Lincoln Avenue Overlay Fig Avenue to Cedar Avenue The work to be done consists, in general, of cold planing of about 0.75 miles of asphalt pavement, placing geosynthetic pavement interlayer over 2.0 miles, and constructing an asphalt concrete overlay on Lincoln Avenue from Fig Avenue to Cedar Avenue (2.5 miles) in the County of Fresno, California.

Choinumni Park Improvements The work to be done consists, in general, of improvements to Choinumni Park including furnishing and installing picnic/barbecue areas, prefabricated shelters, playground and play structures, horseshoe pits, and concrete cornhole boards, miscellaneous signage and striping, and miscellaneous electrical and plumbing improvements throughout the park. The work will also include two new trails, application of chip seals on existing roads and camp stalls, and replacement of the existing campsite fire pits and picnic tables. Jacalitos Creek Bridge Replacement on Lost Hills Road Bridge Number: 42C0078 The work to be done consists, in general, of widening the existing roadway (no additional capacity) and replacing the structurally deficient two-lane bridge with a standard two-lane bridge. The Jacalitos Creek Bridge on Lost Hills Road (Bridge No. 42C0078 / 03-038) is located 3.8 miles south of the community of Coalinga. The new bridge structures will consist of pre-cast, pre-stressed concrete voided slabs which will be supported by outrigger piers, pier caps, and a Cast-In-Drill-Hole concrete pile foundation. The work also includes constructing abutments, installing bridge concrete barriers, finishing the bridge decks with polyester concrete overlay, and placing a hot mix asphalt concrete overlay on the roadway approaches. A temporary detour road will be created with temporary railings and temporary crash cushions. The DBE Contract Goal is 17% percent. Federal Project Number: BRLO-5942(234)
