Mt. Whitney Ave. Road Reconstruction and Shoulder Improvements Mt. Whitney Avenue between S. Marks Avenue and S. Blythe Avenue The work to be done consists, in general, of reconstruction and improvements to approximately 1.6 miles of roadway from Marks Avenue to Blythe Avenue on Mt. Whitney Avenue in the unincorporated community of Riverdale. The road, including the travel lanes, the eight-foot paved shoulder, and the parking area will be reconstructed using a Full-Depth Reclamation cement treated method. The project also includes signage and striping, excavation and construction of a retention basin, storm drain improvements, adjusting sewer manholes, water valve boxes, and other miscellaneous items. Additive 1 bid items include installation of a Pedestrian Hybrid Beacon (PHB), also known as a High-Intensity Activated Crosswalk (HAWK) system, at the intersection of Mt. Whitney Avenue and Feland Avenue with necessary civil work as shown in the plans. There is no DBE Contract Goal. Federal Project Number: CPFL-5942(314)

The work to be done consists, in general, of constructing a 10-foot wide equestrian/pedestrian trail of stabilized decomposed granite over compacted native soil for a distance of approximately 1.12 miles. The trail commences on the south side of Kings Canyon Road west of Clovis Avenue and proceeds south to cross Butler Avenue, ultimately ending west of Clovis Avenue approximately halfway between Butler Avenue to the north and Church Avenue to the south. The project also includes the construction or installation of a 5-stall (including one ADA-compliant stall) asphalt concrete parking/trailhead area, a hitching post, removable bollards, and a crosswalk at Butler Avenue. The project also includes removal of various trees and stumps, safety pruning of the entire project right of way, and clearing the right of way for construction.

The work to be done consists, in general, of placing a slurry seal of asphaltic emulsion and sand mixture on 20.4 miles of roadway on various existing roads in Fresno County. 21-01-C Travers Creek at Manning Avenue Tree Removal
The work, in general, consists of trimming, removal, and proper disposal of 107 trees and approximately 93 brush units located within the project limits of the Travers Creek at Manning Avenue Bridge Replacement project, 0.6 mi. west of Alta Avenue. Stump grinding is required in certain project areas. All debris generated by the felling, removal, and trimming of trees must be removed. The roadway must be kept free from debris at all times. 20-11-J 20-12-J 20-21-J Job Order Contracts General Engineering (Class A)
A Job Order Contract is an indefinite quantity contract pursuant to which the Contractor will perform an ongoing series of individual projects at different locations throughout the County of Fresno. The types of work to done may include, but is not limited to: concrete repair, culvert repair, guardrail replacement, bridge removal, bridge wing wall repair, irrigation pipe replacement, repair of failed roadway sections, repair of asphalt dike, and minor road or parking lot repairs. Work being contemplated under this Job Order Contract includes potentially Federally-funded work associated with a declared disaster (DR-4569-CA) over which the Federal Emergency Management Agency would have oversight. The bid documents include a Construction Task Catalog® containing construction tasks with preset Unit Prices. All Unit Prices are based on local labor prevailing wages, material and equipment prices and are for the direct cost of construction.

20-20-C American Avenue and Golden State Blvd Intersection Improvements
The work to be done consists, in general, of making improvements to the intersection of American Avenue and Golden State Boulevard, including the intersections with Peach Avenue north and south of American Avenue. The existing roadway on American Avenue from SR99 to approximately 860 feet east of Peach Avenue will be reconstructed and realigned with 12-foot travel lanes, left and right turn lanes and 4-foot shoulders on each side. Golden State Boulevard will be reconstructed from approximately 1,252 feet south of American Avenue to approximately 846 feet north of American Avenue, left and right turn lanes will be added and traffic signals will be installed at the intersection of American Avenue and Golden State Boulevard. Peach Avenue will be reconstructed from American Avenue north for approximately 160 feet and from Golden State Boulevard south for approximately 320 feet. The County has pre-purchased and will provide to the Contractor the traffic signal poles, controller assembly and communication cabinet for this intersection. Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR) will perform construction at the Railroad Crossing concurrently with the intersection improvements. The contractor will be required to coordinate and obtain necessary permits from UPRR to perform work near/at the crossing, obtain a traffic encroachment permit from Caltrans for the temporary traffic control plan, and coordinate with PG&E to connect the new signal to the new meter and to relocate the UPRR service pole.

20-17-C American Avenue Disposal Site Entrance Improvements
The work to be done consists, in general, of reconstructing and widening the America Avenue Disposal Site entrance access road, constructing a new right turn lane into the disposal site, regrading the existing ditch on the north side of the disposal site berm, excavating the ditch along the north side of American Ave from Plumas Ave to Humbolt Ave, installing two (2) 18” diameter reinforced concrete culvert pipes beneath the paved entrance, installing new chain link fences and gates, performing various electrical work including for the new gates, and replacing and lowering a segment of irrigation and leachate line.
