Western & Central MA Roads, Trails, & Parking Lot Improvements Counties: Berkshire, Franklin, Hampshire, Hampden, Middlesex, and Worcester GENERAL BID proposals shall be submitted on a form furnished by the Department and will be received until 12:00 PM on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 through DCR’s E-bid room at www.bidexpress.com/businesses/36765/home. The project consists of Placement of bituminous concrete pavement and road improvements and rehabilitation. The contract contains price adjustment for hot mix asphalt mixtures. The bid price provided for hot mix asphalt mixtures shall be based on the cost of asphalt cement of $662.50/liquid ton as set by MASSDOT (New method) for the month of June 2023. All work will be performed on DCR properties within Berkshire, Franklin, Hampshire, Hampden, Middlesex, and Worcester counties. The estimated project cost is $8,000,000.00. The work is to be accomplished within 820 calendar days of a notice to proceed. Liquidated damages in the amount of $100.00 per day will be assessed if the work has not been completed in accordance with the provisions of the contract within the time specified (as extended by any authorized extension of time granted in accordance with the contract provisions). Charlesgate Park Wall Removal Location: Boston, MA The project consists of deconstruction, disposal, and restoration work associated with non-structural granite-faced reinforced concrete wall(s) positioned below the Bowker Overpass in Charlesgate Park in Boston, MA. Proposed work generally includes removing the wall(s) down to the top of buried pile caps, pouring concrete caps, backfilling the displaced volume, restoring the impacted surfaces, and restoring the bridge drain pipes and associate incidental work. The project includes a Base Bid and one (1) Additional Bid Alternative. Generally, the Base Bid includes work associated with removal of the North Wall, and the Additional Bid Alternative include work associated with removal of the South Wall. Plumbing Maintenance & Repairs Counties: Essex, Middlesex, Suffolk, Norfolk, Worcester, Plymouth, Bristol, Barnstable & Dukes Maintenance, repair, and replacement of domestic and commercial plumbing systems in DCR Facilities in Eastern & Central Massachusetts. Work will include all labor, materials and equipment needed to address individual plumbing repairs, equipment and fixture replacement, small renovation projects, required permitting and other associated work needed to adequately complete individual projects.
