Fabrication & Installation of Overhead and Ground Mounted Structures and Signs Location: Bristol, Essex, Middlesex, Norfolk, Plymouth, Suffolk & Worcester Counties The project consists of furnishing labor, materials, and equipment to fabricate and install overhead span structures, overhead cantilever structures, rubber signs, aluminum sign panels type B, removing overhead structures and signs and delivering to designated locations, removing and reinstalling overhead signs and ground support. The estimated project cost is $800,000.00. The work is to be accomplished within 730 calendar days of a notice to proceed. Liquidated damages in the amount of $500.00 per day will be assessed if the work has not been completed in accordance with the provisions of the contract within the time specified (as extended by any authorized extension of time granted in accordance with the contract provisions). Bidders must be pre-qualified by the Massachusetts Dept. of Transportation (MassDOT) Highway Division in SIGNING - STRUCTURAL to bid on the above project. An award will not be made to a Contractor who is not pre-qualified by MassDOT prior to the opening of Proposals. The proposed contract includes a combined requirement of 10.4% of the bid price for minority-owned business enterprises and women-owned business enterprises. Proposed MBE/WBE plans that include solely MBE or solely WBE , or do not include a reasonable amount by both MBE and WBE firms to meet the combined requirements, will not be considered responsive.
