The Kenai Peninsula Borough's Purchasing and Contracting Department provides support and service to the various entities of the Borough. The department's objectives are to obtain materials, equipment, and/or services in a timely, cost effective manner, and at the best value to the Borough. We provide all departments and service areas of the Borough with clear guidance as it pertains to purchasing policies and procedures, and ensure that appropriations are used wisely and in the best interest of the Borough while preserving the integrity and fairness of the competitive process.

Project includes improvements to the existing concentrator building and to the owner furnished evaporator system at CPL. The system will also include the expansion of a 500,000-gallon welded leachate storage tank and various improvements to the mechanical, electrical, and gas supply at the facility. A pre-bid conference will be held on January 10, 2024 at 1:00 PM, at the Purchasing & Contracting Conference Room, 47140 E Poppy Lane, Soldotna, Alaska 99669. The Kenai Peninsula Borough (KPB) and its joint applicants are seeking proposals from qualified firms to complete a Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) Comprehensive Safety Action Plan. The Action Plan is to be in compliance with the U.S. Department of Transportation’s General Terms and Conditions under the Fiscal Year 2022 Safe Streets and Roads for All (“SS4A”) Grant Program: FHWA Projects.
