The Kenai Peninsula Borough's Purchasing and Contracting Department provides support and service to the various entities of the Borough. The department's objectives are to obtain materials, equipment, and/or services in a timely, cost effective manner, and at the best value to the Borough. We provide all departments and service areas of the Borough with clear guidance as it pertains to purchasing policies and procedures, and ensure that appropriations are used wisely and in the best interest of the Borough while preserving the integrity and fairness of the competitive process.

The Kenai Peninsula Borough Maintenance Department hereby invites qualified firms to submit a firm price for acceptance by the Borough for ITB24-010 Homer High School Siding Refinishing. The project consists of the following: Contractor shall include all material, equipment and qualified personnel to clean and scrape away old stain and prep siding to receive new product. Homer High school contains approximately 28,000 sf of natural red wood lap siding, trim, fascia and soffit material. To include the additive alternate bid to pressure wash and refinish the block walls. The contractor is responsible for cordoning off work areas from pedestrian traffic. Special care and time should be taken to protect the landscaped vegetation, windows, doors and roof shingles, from over spray. Awarded contractor shall adhere to manufacturers specification for application. A pre-bid conference will be held at 1:00 PM on August 21, 2023 at the Homer High School, 600 E.
