The City of San Rafael is requesting proposals from qualified consultants to provide construction management, inspection, and material testing services for its Rotary Manor Culvert Replacement Project. The Project scope of work consists of the following elements as more fully shown in plans: • Removal of an existing arch CMP culvert on the Rotary Manor property • Construction of a new cast-in-place reinforced concrete box culvert • Restoration of the affected property grounds • Compliance with regulatory permits concerning construction within the creek

The City of San Rafael (City) is soliciting written proposals from qualified firms to provide LiDAR 360-degree street level data of the public right-of-way to capture and inventory City assets for use with the City’s Geographic Information System (GIS).

The City of San Rafael hereby requests proposals for the Downtown Public Library Modernization Project. The Project will require creative approaches to reimagine and revitalize the existing spaces at the library, and the expertise of multiple disciplines including but not limited to architecture, engineering, and interior design. The project design scope includes the following elements as described in the RFP: • Addressing restroom and plumbing deficiencies • Installing a fire suppression system • Addressing ADA compliance requirements • Upgrading electrical systems to meet current code • Repairing deficiencies in existing flooring • Improving layout and functionality of all public spaces • Replacing most fixed shelving with mobile shelving to improve flow and usability • Relocating/reconfiguring the Children’s services, the Adult and Teen sections, public computing, 3D printing and the Memory Lab • Developing a reading room and programming space • Identifying additional options to integrate modern library services • Creating media hotel to work with automated materials handling (AMH) system and Intelligent Media Management System (IMMS™) • Evaluating the feasibility of recreating the original entrance to the historic Carnegie wing

The City of San Rafael hereby requests proposals for the Pickleweed Park Enhancement Project. The Project will require the expertise of multiple disciplines including but not limited to civil, electrical, environmental, geotechnical, landscape architectural, and structural; therefore, it is the intent of the City to hire a qualified consultant who can provide both design and project management services. The project design scope includes: • Installing a new basketball/sport court to the southeast of the soccer field, • Upgrading a Play Area located west of the soccer field for children under the age of five years old by installing play features, • Installing an outdoor multi-station fitness/exercise area to the southwest of the Play Area for adults, • Renovating the existing restrooms located southeast of the soccer field, • Installing drought resistant landscaping, bioswales, trees, and other irrigation improvements in the parks and surrounding walkways, • Installing a gazebo in the existing picnic areas, • Expanding existing asphalt surface parking lot, and • Installing lighting and security cameras for improved security.
