CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT, INSPECTION, AND TESTING SERVICES FOR THE THIRD STREET REHABILITATION PROJECT
The City of San Rafael hereby requests Statements of Qualifications for Construction Management, Inspection, and Testing Services for the Third Street Rehabilitation Project The following improvements are included in the Project scope:  Repaving the entire corridor.  Geometric and/or raised intersections will be constructed at several intersections. This may include curb ramps and widened sidewalks.  Additional work at intersections includes traffic signal replacement, controller upgrades, safety lighting, and other traffic control devices.  At Second Street/East Avenue and Third Street/Brooks Street new traffic signals will be installed.  The project will add class IV two directional bike lane from Marquard Avenue to Shaver Street.  The City’s project includes Marin Municipal Water District (MMWD) and San Rafael Sanitation District (SRSD) pipeline replacement projects. While all work associated with the two pipeline projects will be bid and tracked separately including the construction management fees accrued by the firm selected. The pipeline replacement projects are estimated at over $2 million dollars for MMWD and around $1 million for SRSD. These are anticipated to be completed within the first half of the contract.  Additional utility improvements with the project include conduit and fiber installation for signal interconnect and future telecom fiber. This includes a bid alternative to extend fiber and conduit to a couple of the City’s public buildings not on Third Street.  Drainage improvements include replacement of City infrastructure and repairs to a large box culvert under Second Street.  Landscaping is limited to tree installation and replacing median landscaping on Second Street and street trees along Second and Third Streets. The Project is located at various locations around the City including the Canal Neighborhood and Mission Avenue. This project consists of concrete work, asphalt paving and patching, striping and electrical upgrades, including the installation of Rapid Rectangular Flashing Beacons (RRFB), lighting systems, and a Realtime Arrival Board. Tree Services RFP 2021 Routine Work
The City of San Rafael (City) hereby requests proposals for on-call tree services from a qualified tree maintenance business that is duly registered and licensed with either a C61-D49 or C27-D49 license in the State of California. Services shall include routine tree services as required by the Public Works Operations and Maintenance Manager at various City locations, and shall be performed on an on-call basis. Typical services include, but are not limited to, the following: 1. Remove small/large trees 2. Trim branches 3. Pruning 4. Trim or remove diseased trees 5. Grind stumps 6. Chip branches 7. Haul off debris 8. Other assignments as required Interested businesses are invited to submit proposals in accordance with the requirements of this Request for Proposals (RFP). The City will accept electronic bid submittals for its Routine Work, by or before January 25, 2021 at 10:00 AM. Physical proposals and proposals received after the time and date specified will be rejected and returned unopened to the proposer.
