This project will replace roof sections A, B, C, D, E, G, H, and I at MacKay Hall. These sections of the roof are 18-year-old EPDM systems. This project includes, but is not limited to, replacement of the roof with a system designed for a minimum life expectancy of 30 years, roof insulation to meet current energy codes, roof safety improvements as needed to meet current university standards, skylight replacement, masonry repairs, tuckpointing, caulking of all features, roof curbs and parapet walls above the roofline to prevent water infiltration through these critical connections, and roof access improvements as needed to meet current university standards.

CP1175478-Meats Laboratory-Cooler-Repairs
This project includes, but is not limited to, the repair of walls (exterior and interior) and ceiling surfaces of three cooler rooms at the Meats Laboratory. Removal of damaged, wet material will expose interior wall conditions and help to locate areas of air leakage. Repairs will be made to prevent moisture build-up. New lighting, insulated walls, and insulated ceiling panels will be installed. The project also includes the demolition and removal of the concrete cooler room floors. New concrete floors, with appropriate insulation beneath, will be installed.

This project includes, but is not limited to, the replacement of heating and cooling units, removal of vinyl floor tile and replace with new flooring, removal of plastic laminate countertops and replacement with solid surface countertops, replace damaged base cabinet doors, modification of kitchen cabinets for a new oven range and hood, installation of a garbage disposal, replacement of fiberglass reinforced panels in room 1053, refinishing wood windowsills, painting rooms, repairs to EIFS and miscellaneous masonry damage, cleaning the exterior, and replacement of exterior sealant joints.

The project includes, but is not limited to, replacing approximately 950 feet of iron water main pipe with a larger diameter HDPE pipe in the Richardson Court Area. HDPE is an EPA and DNR-approved water main pipe material that will not corrode, which should reduce future maintenance costs.

This project includes, but is not limited to, the remodeling of rooms 2242 and 2280 of the Hixson-Lied Student Success Center to accommodate the relocation of the Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT) testing center. Work includes demolition of interior space including existing casework, chair rails, doors, flooring, and wall base. New work includes patching and repairing walls, new paint, doors, lockers, security cameras, testing station furniture, and mechanical and electrical work to support the remodel. New office furniture for the staff is also included.

CP943347-Scheman Building-Renovation
The project will renovate portions of the ground floor main entrances, entry lobby, and restrooms and the first floor event and circulation spaces, and restrooms. The existing Benton Auditorium will be remodeled into a flexible event space with stage and seating areas. The project will also provide new food and beverage amenities and improvements to wayfinding and signage to improve the guest experience.
The project will also upgrade existing mechanical and electrical systems to meet exiting codes and the requirements of the renovated spaces.
No existing occupants will be relocated during construction or after the project is completed.

This project includes, but is not limited to, the replacement of the existing single dehumidification unit with two new dehumidification units to provide a 100% redundant system. Dehumidifiers will be racked on the floor in a similar arrangement to the condensing units on the third floor.
