Downtown Parking and Paving Improvements
This project consists of four (4) small projects that are all located in the downtown area.
The first location is on East Second Street between the first north-south alley east of Louisiana Avenue to Elm Street. The project will remove some of the existing pavement and tree lawn so that perpendicular parking spaces can be added similar to what is existing on Second Street between the project location and Louisiana Avenue.
The second location is at the corner of Third Street and Elm Street. This project will remove some of the existing pavement within the right of way to allow for the construction of a curbed island to keep vehicles from parking where they will block the view of cross traffic for vehicles on Third Street turning onto Elm Street.
The third location is at the corner of Third Street and Walnut Street. This project will remove an existing stone area within the right of way so that perpendicular parking spaces and a curbed island can be constructed.
The final location is just west of Hood Park. This project will pave the remaining portion of the Maumee River Multi Use Path that was not paved with the rest of the project due to concern of it being damaged as a building was being constructed next to it.
