2025 Annual Sewer Cleaning (Large Diameter) Project Description The project shall consist of the cleaning and televising of several aging and deteriorating sanitary sewer lines in the City of Findlay. The primary objective is to provide the City with a good visual inspection of the condition of the sewers. The Base Bid includes several sewer locations in different areas of the City. Some sewer lines are in close proximity of each other while others are somewhat isolated. The sizes to be cleaned include 15-inch, 20-inch, 24-inch, 30-inch, 36-inch, 42-inch, 45-inch, 48-inch, 51-inch and 66-inch sewers. Bidders are requested to provide a unit price per foot based on the size of host pipe. If sizes, lengths, or any other changes significantly differ from the provided information, the City will work with the Contractor to make accurate price adjustments. Incidental items include but are not limited to mobilization, bypass pumping, dewatering, traffic control, etc. Bidders are advised to pay close attention to the specific details in the General Notes and Pay Item Descriptions. Item descriptions detail all that is included with each pay item as well as pay limits for certain items. During construction, maintenance of traffic and access to local businesses and residences will be major concerns for the City, Contractor, and adjacent property owners. This project is located within the City of Findlay corporation limits and is thereby eligible for City Income Tax collection. The project is funded by City of Findlay local funds. Bidders should be aware of any required Equal Employment Opportunity Requirements as well as the State Prevailing Wages that apply to this project. Sherry Street Sanitary Sewer Replacement This project consists of removing 257 feet of an existing 18” sanitary sewer pipe and replacing with SDR26 on Sherry Street from the first manhole south of Sixth Street North. A new manhole will be set 50 feet South of the existing manhole on the North side of Sixth Street. The sanitary sewer needs to be operational each night. There are also 7 laterals that will need to be tied in to this section of the new sanitary sewer. This project will also include a 10-foot spot repair on the existing 12” sanitary sewer on Sherry Street from the manhole North of Pearl Street to the next manhole North. This section of 12” sanitary sewer pipe will be replaced with SDR35. There are 2 laterals to reconnected in this section. Bidders are advised to visit the site before turning in price. If needed the Engineering Department will be available to meet on site to go over any specific questions. Bidders are advised to pay close attention to the specific details in the Supplemental Specifications and Pay Item Descriptions. Item descriptions detail all that is included with each pay item as well as pay limits for certain items. During construction, maintenance of traffic and access to local businesses and residences will be major concerns for the City, contractor, and adjacent property owners. Incidental to the lining shall be the reinstatement of sewer service laterals without excavation. The Base Bid includes several sewer locations in different areas of the City. Some sewer lines to be lined are in close proximity of each other while others are somewhat isolated. The sizes to be lined include 8-inch, 10-inch, 12-inch, 18-inch, 20-inch and 24-inch sewers. City of Findlay HAN-CR236-0.00, PID100184 This project consist of widening out County Road 236 one lane to the east from Sandusky St. (SR568) to Tiffin Ave. (US224) as well as installing a multiuse path on the east side of the right of way. The widening of County Road 236 will reconfigure the roadway to a three lane road consisting of two drive lanes and a center turn lane. Along with the roadway widening a new 10 ft. wide multiuse path will be installed on the east side of the roadway from Sandusky St. to Tiffin Ave. New curb and gutter will be placed on this section of roadway, which will also include the relocation of existing storm structures. This project consist of, but not limited to; installing 2,450 SF of concrete sidewalk, 56,860 SF of asphalt multiuse path, 1208 CY of Asphalt Concrete Surface Course, 514 CY Asphalt Concrete Intermediate Course, aggregate base, new storm lines and structures, and grading and seeding. The 2019 Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) Construction and Materials Specifications shall be followed. Required modifications to the ODOT specifications are noted herein. City of Findlay HAN-Lincoln & Blanchard Paths, PID104247 This project consist of a lane configuration of Blanchard Street between Sixth Street and Center Street to add dedicated bike lanes on the east and west side, reconstructed traffic signals at five signalized intersections, ADA compliant curb ramps, and resurfacing. In addition to the Blanchard Street lane configuration, a multi-use path will be constructed on the north side of Lincoln Street from Cory Street to Blanchard Street. The Lincoln Street portion of the project will also include upgrades to signalized pedestrian controls at 2 intersections and ADA compliant curb ramps. This project consist of, but not limited to, installing 30,000 SF of concrete sidewalk, 46,381 SY of pavement planning, 1933 CY of Asphalt Concrete Surface Course, 1200 LF of curb replacement aggregate base, new signs, upgrade 5 intersections, and grading and seeding. City of Findlay 2020 Annual Sewer Televising Program-This program consists of performing closed circuit television inspection on various storm and sanitary sewers located within the City of Findlay. This program will assess the condition of the selected sewer lines, and present the information to the City of Findlay so that the information can be used to make decisions regarding rehabilitation and/ or replacement. The sewers will be rated by using a standardized field investigation approach to efficiently utilize time and resources when evaluating the selected sewers. This project shall consist of, but not limited to, sewer cleaning as necessary for proper sewer evaluating, CCTV recordings, evaluating and rating of recorded sewers, and electronic format submission of recorded/ evaluated sewers. Madison Street and Monroe Avenue Sanitary Sewer Replacement This project consists of replacing an existing 8-inch Vitrified Clay Pipe with new 8-inch SDR35 pipe on the South side of both Madison Street and Monroe Avenue between North Main Street and Morey Avenue. There are 89 existing laterals that will need to be tied into the new Sanitary Sewer. The existing 8-inch sewer will need to remain operational until all the existing lateral are tied into the new sewer. Upon completion, the existing 8” sanitary sewer will be abandoned by grouting. City of Findlay Sixth Street Waterline Replacement. This project consists of replacing a 10-inch waterline on Sixth Street from Main Street to Eagle Creek. The project consist of two sections of 10-inch waterline and one section of 16-inch waterline. The 10-inch sections will run from Main Street to Park Street (waterline will be ran on the north side in the grass) and from Blanchard Street to Eagle Creek (waterline will be ran in the westbound lane). The section from Park Street to Blanchard Street will consist of a 16-inch waterline install that will be ran in the westbound lane of Sixth Street. The 16-inch waterline will be tied onto an existing 16-inch stub at Blanchard Street and will be jack and bored under the CSX railroad tracks to Park Street. City of Findlay Olive Street 16-inch Waterline Extension. This project consists of installing a new 16-inch C905 waterline on Olive Street, running in the eastbound lane of Olive Street. The waterline will start from a 16-inch stub on Park Street and will extend to an existing 16-inch stub at Brookside Drive. The new waterline will need to be jack and bored under the CSX Railroad and Horizontal Directional Drill under Eagle Creek. City of Findlay Country Club Drive Landslide Repair This project will consist of repairing the existing landslide along Country Club Drive and adjacent to the Blanchard River. This project will also consist of modifications to the existing storm sewer that outlets to the Blanchard River. Within the project area there are overhead power lines, which will effect some of the work.
