2025 Annual Sewer Cleaning (Large Diameter) Project Description The project shall consist of the cleaning and televising of several aging and deteriorating sanitary sewer lines in the City of Findlay. The primary objective is to provide the City with a good visual inspection of the condition of the sewers. The Base Bid includes several sewer locations in different areas of the City. Some sewer lines are in close proximity of each other while others are somewhat isolated. The sizes to be cleaned include 15-inch, 20-inch, 24-inch, 30-inch, 36-inch, 42-inch, 45-inch, 48-inch, 51-inch and 66-inch sewers. Bidders are requested to provide a unit price per foot based on the size of host pipe. If sizes, lengths, or any other changes significantly differ from the provided information, the City will work with the Contractor to make accurate price adjustments. Incidental items include but are not limited to mobilization, bypass pumping, dewatering, traffic control, etc. Bidders are advised to pay close attention to the specific details in the General Notes and Pay Item Descriptions. Item descriptions detail all that is included with each pay item as well as pay limits for certain items. During construction, maintenance of traffic and access to local businesses and residences will be major concerns for the City, Contractor, and adjacent property owners. This project is located within the City of Findlay corporation limits and is thereby eligible for City Income Tax collection. The project is funded by City of Findlay local funds. Bidders should be aware of any required Equal Employment Opportunity Requirements as well as the State Prevailing Wages that apply to this project. Sherry Street Sanitary Sewer Replacement This project consists of removing 257 feet of an existing 18” sanitary sewer pipe and replacing with SDR26 on Sherry Street from the first manhole south of Sixth Street North. A new manhole will be set 50 feet South of the existing manhole on the North side of Sixth Street. The sanitary sewer needs to be operational each night. There are also 7 laterals that will need to be tied in to this section of the new sanitary sewer. This project will also include a 10-foot spot repair on the existing 12” sanitary sewer on Sherry Street from the manhole North of Pearl Street to the next manhole North. This section of 12” sanitary sewer pipe will be replaced with SDR35. There are 2 laterals to reconnected in this section. Bidders are advised to visit the site before turning in price. If needed the Engineering Department will be available to meet on site to go over any specific questions. Bidders are advised to pay close attention to the specific details in the Supplemental Specifications and Pay Item Descriptions. Item descriptions detail all that is included with each pay item as well as pay limits for certain items. During construction, maintenance of traffic and access to local businesses and residences will be major concerns for the City, contractor, and adjacent property owners. City of Findlay, Howard Street Storm and Water Line Improvements. This improvement project on Howard Street consists of installing a new 12-inch waterline, performing a sewer separation on a stretch of the roadway, curb replacement and asphalt resurfacing. The existing 12-inch transite waterline will be upgraded to a new 12-inch C909 waterline line that will be ran on the south side of the roadway. The new waterline will tie into the existing 12-inch waterline at the I-75 overpass and head east to tie into the existing 12-inch on Main Street. The waterline will require, but not limited to, multiple tie-ins, fire hydrant replacement, waterline abandonments, two directional drills, and misc. fittings. With the waterline upgrade a section of storm sewer will be installed on Howard Street from the west side of Morey Ave. to Bolton St. Within this area the current sewer is combination sanitary and storm, this new storm line will separate the storm from the existing sanitary sewer. Along with this section of storm sewer a small section of storm will be installed on Barnett St. and Glenn Ave. that will outlet into the regraded swale on Bolton St. As part of the improvement project Howard Street will be resurfaced from Broad Ave. to Main Street. The resurfacing portion of the work shall consist of, but not limited to, curb ramp upgrades, curb replacement, asphalt milling, and asphalt paving. This project shall consist of, but not limited to, 5990 LF of 12-inch C909 waterline, 200 LF of 12-inch directional drilled waterline, 10-inch waterline, 8-inch waterline, 6-inch waterline, full depth trench repair, waterline tie-ins, waterline abandonments, fire hydrant installation, misc. fittings, seeding and mulching, 300 LF of 18-inch storm sewer, 290 LF of 15-inch storm sewer, 1160 LF of 12-inch storm sewer, 27 storm structures, 7860 LF of curb replacement, 1870 SF of sidewalk replacement, drive approach replacement, 12,500 SY of asphalt planning, and 725 CY of asphalt resurfacing. This project is funded by City of Findlay Water, Sewer, and Capitol Funds as well as Ohio Public Works Commission (OPWC) and Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Grants. Bidders shall be aware of the required Equal Employment Opportunity Requirements as well as the State Prevailing Wages that apply to this project. Domestic steel use requirements also apply to this project as specified in Section 153.011 of the Ohio Revised Code. City of Findlay HAN-Greenway Trail Phase I, PID106715 This project consists of extending the Blanchard River Greenway Trail to E. Main Cross Street and widening E. Main Cross Street to provide bike lanes on the north and the south side of the roadway. This project consist, but not limited to installing 14,649 SF of concrete sidewalk, 223 CY of Asphalt Concrete Surface Course, 177 CY of Asphalt Concrete Intermediate Course, aggregate base, new storm lines and structures, and grading and seeding. The 2019 Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) Construction and Materials Specifications shall be followed. Required modifications to the ODOT specifications are noted herein.
