2025 Annual Sewer Cleaning (Large Diameter)
Project Description
The project shall consist of the cleaning and televising of several aging and deteriorating sanitary sewer lines in the City of Findlay. The primary objective is to provide the City with a good visual inspection of the condition of the sewers. The Base Bid includes several sewer locations in different areas of the City. Some sewer lines are in close proximity of each other while others are somewhat isolated. The sizes to be cleaned include 15-inch, 20-inch, 24-inch, 30-inch, 36-inch, 42-inch, 45-inch, 48-inch, 51-inch and 66-inch sewers. Bidders are requested to provide a unit price per foot based on the size of host pipe. If sizes, lengths, or any other changes significantly differ from the provided information, the City will work with the Contractor to make accurate price adjustments. Incidental items include but are not limited to mobilization, bypass pumping, dewatering, traffic control, etc.
Bidders are advised to pay close attention to the specific details in the General Notes and Pay Item Descriptions. Item descriptions detail all that is included with each pay item as well as pay limits for certain items. During construction, maintenance of traffic and access to local businesses and residences will be major concerns for the City, Contractor, and adjacent property owners.
This project is located within the City of Findlay corporation limits and is thereby eligible for City Income Tax collection. The project is funded by City of Findlay local funds. Bidders should be aware of any required Equal Employment Opportunity Requirements as well as the State Prevailing Wages that apply to this project.

Sherry Street Sanitary Sewer Replacement
This project consists of removing 257 feet of an existing 18” sanitary sewer pipe and replacing with SDR26 on Sherry Street from the first manhole south of Sixth Street North. A new manhole will be set 50 feet South of the existing manhole on the North side of Sixth Street. The sanitary sewer needs to be operational each night. There are also 7 laterals that will need to be tied in to this section of the new sanitary sewer. This project will also include a 10-foot spot repair on the existing 12” sanitary sewer on Sherry Street from the manhole North of Pearl Street to the next manhole North. This section of 12” sanitary sewer pipe will be replaced with SDR35. There are 2 laterals to reconnected in this section. Bidders are advised to visit the site before turning in price. If needed the Engineering Department will be available to meet on site to go over any specific questions.

Specific Notes:
1. The existing 18” sanitary sewer is roughly 16 FT deep at the downstream manhole and 15 FT deep at the upstream manhole.
2. Sanitary service must be maintained during the project.

City of Findlay Stanford Parkway Waterline-
Engineer Estimate: $230,000
Completion Date: June 14, 2019
This project consists of constructing a 12-inch C909 waterline running along Stanford Parkway from Westfield Drive to River Road. From the Stanford Parkway/ River Road intersection the waterline will be continued to the east to tie into an existing waterline that feeds the City of Findlay Water Pollution Control Center. From the same intersection, the waterline will be bored under the Blanchard River, to tie into the existing 12-inch waterline that is located on Howard St. Majority of the waterline will be in the grass boulevard on the East side of Stanford Parkway crossing a few concrete and asphalt driveways; it will be placed in the roadway on River Road, requiring full depth trench repair in this location. North of the Blanchard River the waterline will be placed in the grass on the south side of Howard St. There will be 180 LF of the 12-inch waterline that will need to be jack and bored with a 24-inch casing pipe from River Road north under the Blanchard River to Howard Street. This project shall consist of, but not limited to, 1384 LF of 12-inch C909 waterline, 180 LF of 24-inch casing pipe jack and bore, concrete and asphalt drive replacement, waterline tie-ins, waterline abandonments, misc. fittings, seeding and mulching.

City of Findlay 2018 Annual Sewer Televising Program-This program consists of performing closed circuit television inspection on various storm and sanitary sewers located within the City of Findlay. This program will assess the condition of the selected sewer lines, and present the information to the City of Findlay so that the information can be used to make decisions regarding rehabilitation and/ or replacement. The sewers will be rated by using a standardized field investigation approach to efficiently utilize time and resources when evaluating the selected sewers. This project shall consist of, but not limited to, sewer cleaning as necessary for proper sewer evaluating, CCTV recordings, evaluating and rating of recorded sewers, and electronic format submission of recorded/ evaluated sewers.

The proposed Design-Build Salt Barn Structure will be constructed at the City of Findlay Street Department located at 330 North Cory Street. Selected vendor will propose a building structure that is capable of holding 7000 to 8000 tons of salt within the structure. The vendor should provide all plans, permits, labor, equipment and materials to construct a structure suitable for salt storage at the proposed location.

Services for Water Meter System Replacement, Project No. 35783300 - The City of Findlay invites interested firms to submit Qualifications for an Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) Full Service Implementation and Maintenance Program in order to improve the process of collecting monthly water utility meter data to enhance the level of service offered to customers.
The AMI Full Service Program will be implemented system wide in a short time frame, in order to maximize the benefits of the system. Interested parties are to submit qualifications for a turnkey deployment of approximately 20,000 metered accounts, followed by an ongoing maintenance program that includes network, AMI endpoints, and software maintenance as well as full service data hosting and delivery to the City.
