The work consists of the installation of new traffic signals, complete and operable,
including but not limited to actuated traffic controller, pull boxes, poles, mast arms,
foundations, conduits, luminaire support, cables, wire, connection fees, coordination with
Entergy and City of Lake Charles Traffic Department, and the removal of existing traffic
signals. This new equipment is to be installed at the intersection as shown on the plans.
Unless otherwise specified, all materials shall be new.
Existing equipment to be removed shall be removed in such manner as to avoid damage
to said equipment, and proper care and protection shall be exercised after its removal.
All incidental parts which are not shown on the plans, or specified herein or in the Special
Provisions, and which are necessary to complete the traffic signal or other electrical
systems or required for modifying existing systems, shall be furnished and installed as
though such parts were shown on the plans or specified herein. All systems shall be
complete and in operation to the satisfaction of the Engineer at the time of final
acceptance.

W. Prien Lake Widening Cove Lane to Ihles Road

The general scope of work for Project No. 2020-704, W. Prien Lake Road Widening Cove Lane to Ihles Road, includes the following:
A. PRIEN LAKE ROAD FROM COVE LANE SOUTH TO IHLES ROAD
(APPROXIMATELY 5100 FEET):
i. Paving: Construct a new 10” thick, 49- to 61-foot-wide reinforced concrete pavement with integral curb and 12” thick compacted stone base with geogrid reinforcement. Construct a new 5-lane signalized intersection at Sale Road. Construct a new 8-foot-wide concrete sidewalk on the west side and a new 5-foot wide concrete sidewalk on the east side of the street.
ii. Water: The existing 12" water line will remain in place where possible. However, portions of this system will be replaced with new including a new 12” waterline on W. Prien Lake Road from Ihles Road west to Prien Terre Road. Additionally, new 8" water taps will be installed and stubbed down Prienwood Drive & Timber Lane for future extension.
iii. Sanitary Sewer: A new sewer lift station, along with associated force main, will be installed on the west side of W. Prien Lake Road near Sale Road. New gravity sewer lines shall be installed to incorporate this new lift station as well as extend the existing sewer system.
iv. Storm Sewer: Installation of three new underground drainage systems. The northern drainage system will outfall into an existing ditch located on the north side of 3624 W. Prien Lake Road. The central drainage system will outfall approximately 1300 feet down Henderson Bayou Road into Henderson Bayou. The southern drainage system will outfall approximately 500 feet west of the intersection of Prien Lake Road and Ihles Road into Henderson Bayou. All systems will include drainage pipe ranging from 15" to 72" in diameter.
B. SALE ROAD FROM PRIEN LAKE ROAD EAST TO RUE CHAN ANN
(APPROXIMATELY 2,300 FEET):
i. Paving: Construct a new 9” thick (8” thick in “tee” west of West Prien Lake Road), 36-foot-wide reinforced concrete pavement with integral curb and 8” thick compacted stone base. Construct a new 4-foot-wide concrete sidewalk on the north side.
ii. Water: The existing 12" water line will remain in place from Prien Lake Road to Phillips Lane. The 12" water line will be replaced and relocated from Phillips Lane east to Rue Chan Ann.
iii. Sanitary Sewer: The existing sewer system will remain in place.
iv. Storm Sewer: Installation of a new underground drainage system, including drainage pipe as large as 60" in diameter.
C. HENDERSON BAYOU ROAD FROM PRIEN LAKE ROAD WEST TO
INDIAN BAY DRIVE (APPROXIMATELY 650 FEET):
i. Paving: Construct a new 8” thick, 25- to 37-foot-wide reinforced concrete pavement with integral curb and 12” thick compacted stone base with geogrid reinforcement. This portion of Henderson Bayou Road is being reconstructed to introduce a new left turn lane.
ii. Storm Sewer: Installation of a new underground drainage system, including drainage pipe as large as 60" in diameter. This new system will serve as the outfall for the central Prien Lake Road drainage system referenced above. The existing 54" drainage line on the south side will remain in place.

I. Scope of Services:
Design and implementation of mechanical and electrical repairs, in response to damage incurred as a result of Hurricane Delta (EM-3547-LA), to reinstate the damaged systems to pre-storm conditions and to upgrade these existing systems to coincide with newly applicable codes, standards, and regulations as imposed by governmental bodies with the appropriate jurisdictional authority. This Work shall include the following:
1. Removal and replacement of the three (3) existing motors with three (3) new motors.
2. Removal and replacement of the three (3) existing pumps with three (3) new pumps.
3. Removal and replacement of the one (1) existing sump pump with one (1) new sump pump.
4. Removal and replacement of the one (1) existing ventilation system with one (1) new ventilation system.
5. Removal of the complete electrical systems (main disconnect, meter base, main breakers, starters, controls, SCADA equipment, etc.) all located within the dry-pit of the station.
6. Furnishing and installation of new above grade complete electrical systems (main disconnect, meter base, manual transfer switch, , main breakers, starters, controls, SCADA equipment, etc.).
7. Removal and disposal of all existing valves and piping required for the installation of new pumps.
8. Furnishing and installation of new valves and piping required for the installation of new lift station pumps.
9. Cleaning, preparing and coating of the existing lift station wet well.
10. Furnishing and installation of 6-foot tall chain link fencing with green privacy slats.
11. Furnishing and installation of piping and fittings required for the installation of new pumps, valves, and bypass connection.

4. At main roof area, mechanically attach 2.5” and 2” Polyisocyanurate insulation (V.O.J.), 1/4” tapered Polyisocyanurate crickets and ½” gyp board together into the wood deck. Over base layer of insulation, contractor shall loose lay fire retardant slip sheet.
5. At North roof area, mechanically attach 2.5” and 2” Polyisocyanurate insulation (V.O.J.), 1/8” tapered Polyisocyanurate and ½” gyp board together into the wood deck. Over base layer of insulation, contractor shall loose lay fire retardant slip sheet.
6. Install specified Hot Mop applied SBS Modified roofing system.
7. Install two ply modified base flashing systems.
8. Install new through wall scuppers, counter flashings and miscellaneous sheet metal items as specified.
9. Terminate flashings on top of parapet wall and seal as Detailed.
10. Issue specified 30-year warranty for SBS Roofing & 75-year warranty for Slate Roofing

A. Project Summary:
1. Remove existing gravel, roof, insulation, metal deck and related sheet metal items down to the existing bar joist.
2. Install new metal decking and treated wood blocking at perimeter.
3. Mechanically attach specified Polyisocyanurate and Gypsum board to the metal deck as specified.
4. Heat fuse one ply of SBS modified base sheet over the insulation.
5. Fabricate and install all miscellaneous sheet metal items. Strip in with SBS modified base sheet.
6. Flash all wall flashing and curb type penetrations with one ply of the specified SBS modified base sheet.
7. Fabricate and install ANSI-SPRI ES-1 metal edge, new drip edge, gutters and downspouts as specified. Strip in with SBS modified base sheet.
8. Install one ply of a high-performance mineral surfaced modified cap sheet across the field of the roof and up 2” above cant strip. Immediately broadcast granules into bleed out.
9. Install one ply of a high-performance mineral surfaced modified cap sheet at all wall flashing and curb type penetrations.
10. Inspect roof area with Owner and Owner’s rep prior to surfacing.
11. After 30 days, apply two applications of the specified protective coating.
12. Issue 30 year NDL warranty with wind rider up to the design pressures in stamped wind uplift calculations.
