In accordance with the specifications, it is the intent of this formal invitation to receive bids from qualified bidders for Materials, Supplies and Labor for the removal of existing poured-in-place rubber surfacing, preparation of the underlying concrete slab, and installation of a synthetic turf playground surfacing system with an impact attenuation pad and silica sand infill for Millennium Park, located on the grounds of the Bord du Lac Park, adjacent to the Lake Charles Event Center.
All work shall be performed in a clean, safe, and workmanlike manner in accordance with manufacturer specifications and ASTM standards for playground surfacing safety and accessibility.

I. Background:
Gusting winds, debris impacts, and heavy rain, associated with Hurricane Laura, incurred damage to the chemical feed systems at the Center East, Center West, Chennault, and McNeese Water Treatment Plants, to the point where the systems are not operational. This project will serve to re‐instate operation of ALL chemical feed systems and return the water system to its pre‐storm operation. Scope items have also been identified that would serve to upgrade these antiquated systems to the latest codes and standards.
II. Scope of Services:
Design and implementation of mechanical and electrical improvements, in response to damage incurred as a result of Hurricane Laura (DR‐4559‐LA), to reinstate the damaged systems to pre‐storm conditions and to upgrade these existing systems to coincide with newly applicable codes, standards, and regulations as imposed by governmental bodies with the appropriate jurisdictional authority.
