City of Lake Charles, Louisiana GH West Transmission Main Extension Capital Project Number CP2944 The City of Lake Charles desires to improve reliability of its transmission mains leaving the George H. West WTP through the installation of a new main leaving the facility. The installation of this new transmission main will allow the City to systematically approach the future replacement of other, existing transmission mains that were installed in the 1930’s. This Work will include but is not limited to the following: 1. Installation of approximately 1,790 ft. of 24-inch ductile iron transmission from the George West WTP to the proposed distribution system connection points. The proposed transmission main extension would connect the existing 24-inch stub from the 2007 plant construction to the existing 16-inch water mains that run along the north side Jackson Street and west side of N Bilbo Street. 2. Installation of approximately 850 ft of electrical duct back, conduit, and electrical power/control wire from the George West WTP to the existing pad mounted starter cabinet receiving manhole. The removal of existing overhead control wiring.

Project No. 2021-711 Capital Project No. 3372 Louisiana Avenue – South of McNeese – Drainage Improvements City of Lake Charles, LA The general scope of work for Project 2021-711, Capital Project No. 3372 is the installation of new underground drainage system to better serve Louisiana Avenue south of McNeese Street. This new system will tie into McNeese Street, run south along the east property line of F.K. White Middle School, and then turn east along the south property line of the Entergy Substation. The system will cross to the east side of Louisiana Avenue at this location. Additionally, this underground system will extend south in the existing west roadside ditch of Louisiana Avenue approximately 650 feet. This new underground system will consist of new drainage inlets and pipe ranging from 15” to 48” in diameter, as well the associated pavement work.
