CP002680-Maple Residence Hall-Fire Alarm System Upgrade
The project consists of, but is not limited to, installation of a new addressable voice fire alarm system to be installed throughout Maple Residence Hall. This includes addressable fire alarm control panel with voice controls, area type smoke and heat detectors, duct mounted smoke detectors, speaker/strobe signal devices, elevator interface controls, elevator disconnect switch, cutting and patching, painting, and other related electrical work. All pathways are to be concealed - no surface mounted pathways will be allowed. Any cutting of drywall will be repaired, patched and painted to a level 5 finish and to match existing wall color. Existing pathways may be used, but are not exhaustive of the work. No substitutions of fire alarm system components will be allowed.

The project consists of, but is not limited to, expanding the existing 4160 volt electrical substation located south of the General Services Building to accommodate a new 8.4 MVA transformer, 13,800 volt switchgear, a high voltage feeder cable from Haber Road substation to service the new transformer and switchgear and high voltage feeder cables from the new transformer to the existing 4160 volt switchgear along with new underground raceway systems. Site work includes the removal of the existing site masonry enclosure, construction of new footings and enclosure walls, relocation of an existing underground water main, replacement of a section of stream tunnel roof and replacement of affected roadway and parking lot pavement.
