1. Demolish existing building around station and replace with new hurricane fence with green slats around site.
2. Replace the two existing pumps with new submersible pumps on a rail system.
3. Replace all valves and valve vault lid. Expand valve vault to expose where the two pump discharge pipes combine into a single forcemain and install a permanent bypass connection.
4. Electrical improvements.
5. Coat wet well.
B. Comeaux Lift Station
1. Install green slats in existing hurricane fence.
2. Replace the two existing pumps with new submersible pumps on a rail system.
3. Replace all valves. Expand valve vault to install a permanent bypass connection.

C. Greinwich Village Lift Station
1. Demolish existing wooden fence and provide new hurricane fence with green slats.

5. Replace all valves and evaluate feasibility for permanent bypass connection.
6. Electrical Improvements.
7. Coat wet well.
D. Griffin Coulee Lift Station
1. Replace existing double door and windows.
2. Install green slats on existing hurricane fence.
3. Replace existing pumps with new dry pit submersible pumps.
4. Replace all valves.
5. New wet well access hatch.
6. Provide steps with handrail on entry to station.
7. Electrical Improvements.

The intent of this Contract is to provide for construction and completion, in every detail, of the Work described. The City of Lake Charles Wastewater Division owns and operates the Contraband Lift Station. Wastewater Division personnel have indicated that at a minimum the following items must be addressed as part of the rehabilitation project:
1. Remove existing pumps/motors and replace with dry pit submersible pumps, and upgrade electrical equipment as needed to accommodate new pumps
2. New pumps are to be equipped with variable frequency drives. Due to the size of these drives, a new slab on grade building will house the drives. This new electrical building will have a brick veneer and architectural shingle roof.
3. In addition to the new electrical building, addition site improvements include new P.C.C. pavement, green slatted hurricane fencing with brick columns, and improvements to the access road leading to the lift station site.
4. All suction and discharge valves are to be replaced with new.
5. Existing wet well is to be cleaned, repaired, and coated.

Sale Road Lift Station
Wet Well Wall Structural Rehabilitation

Contractor shall provide all materials, all labor, supervision, tools, construction equipment, transportation, services, incidentals and temporary facilities, including electrical power, water, sanitary facilities, offices, and warehouses and other services necessary to construct, complete in place and accepted the new Wet Well Wall Structural Rehabilitation at the Sale Road Lift Station located at 715 W. Sale Road in the City of Lake Charles, Louisiana. All work shall be in accordance with the plans and specifications and/or engineer approved shop drawings.
In general, the work includes, but is not limited to the following:
a. Mobilization
b. Temporary signs and barricades
c. Construct and remove steel sheet pile retaining walls
d. Excavation and disposal of spoils
e. Construct new concrete seal slab
f. Pressure wash the exterior wall surfaces and apply bonding adhesive to the existing wet well walls
g. Construct new concrete exterior wall sections on one side at a time in three (3) lifts per wall.
h. Furnish, place and compact sand backfill
i. Construct aggregate backfill cap at top of fill
j. Remove and replace new 4 foot chain link fence
k. Final cleanup, including hydroseeding

(d) The installation of the drainage system consisting of approximately 204 linear feet of 18 diameter RCP, 8 each CB-01 drop inlets and 160 linear feet of 18” diameter corrugated metal pipe;
(e) The construction of 6" thick compacted stone aggregate driveways at two locations.
