A system for bypass pumping to manage sewage flow must be furnished and maintained. Manhole tops will require removal and re construction to facilitate liner installation. Concrete and/or brick manholes will also be rehabilitated with new interior liners.

1. Removal and disposal of mechanical and electrical equipment from existing tankage at existing WWTPs B and C.
2. Demolition and filling of existing tankage at existing WWTPs B and C.
3. Installation of approximately 250 linear feet of 8-inch PVC, 20 linear feet of 24-inch ductile iron pipe, 90 linear feet of 30-inch HDPE, 372 linear feet of 48-inch ductile iron pipe, one new reinforced cast in place concrete collection box, and one 8-ft diameter FRP manhole.
4. Coating of two existing manholes and one new reinforced cast in place concrete collection box.

I. Scope of Services:
A. The City of Lake Charles Water Division currently owns and operates the 400,000 Gallon Elevated Storage Tank at the Chennault Water Treatment Plant. Rehabilitation of the existing tank in general includes:
a. Drainage improvements around the tank
b. Erection and maintenance of a temporary containment system to contain sand blasting and paint debris from falling on adjacent properties and vehicles.
c. Light sand blasting of the tank exterior and appurtenances and applying a three coat exterior coating system to the entire tank exterior.
d. Sandblasting interior tank walls and appurtenances and applying 3 coat interior coating system to these surfaces.
e. Perform the necessary adjustments to windages/sway rods to return the tank to its original erect, design conformance.
f. Furnish and install repairs and improvements to the interior roof, vent, roof ladder, etc.
g. Remove and dispose of existing overflow piping within tank riser and buried vault. Install new, exterior overflow piping to discharge into a closed drainage
system to be routed to the adjacent ditch.

WWTP A Basin A-04 Rehabilitation Project

I. Scope of Services:
A. The City of Lake Charles WWTP ‘A’ is currently under a Compliance Order (CO) with LDEQ. The approved CO schedule requires the rehabilitation of 13 sub basins in the WWTP ‘A’ Basin. The Sub Basins have been prioritized and ranked in order of severity of condition through wastewater modeling of the system.
B. Based on review of CCTV data of the Sub-Basin, recommendations for repair have been made and a cost estimate has been developed.
C. This scope of work covers the repair of the collection system in the WWTP A Sub Basin A-04. The Work includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the following:
1. Pipe bursting 16,560 linear feet of existing 6” and 8” sewer to new 8”.
2. Open cut and replace 1,716 linear feet of existing 6” and 8” sewer to new 8”.
3. Replacement of approximately 275 active sewer service laterals.
4. Coating approximately 350 vertical feet of existing and new manholes.
